Brief chosen:
Brief 2 Print: You work for a print production company within a multimedia production company. You have been given
…………………………………………………………………………………………………………
the task of producing a campaign of four billboard adverts to promote a new BBC Three comedy panel show.

How do you intend to use the four areas of the media theoretical framework to communicate meaning and meet the
requirements of your chosen brief? (approx. 350 words)

The purpose of my billboards is to advertise my show and to be funny. The intention of the comedy is to show people
……………………………………………………………………………………………………………………
wanting things that they stereotypically wouldn't want in order to win the show. E.g. The mise en scene of the first
billboard is pink and girly but with a man's face, this is shocking to some people and unexpected. The mise en scene is
……………………………………………………………………………………………………………………
also different in 2 billboards because 2 different locations are shown. All of my billboards are long shots.

……………………………………………………………………………………………………………………
The people included in the adverts will be in the target audience age range which is 16-25year olds. The billboards fit the
……………………………………………………………………………………………………………………
target audience because the show is aimed at people who watch bbc3 and are comedy fans.

……………………………………………………………………………………………………………………
In my 4 billboards 2 social groups are represented. Men are represented in the first billboard and with the billboard with
reaching arms, people of different ethnicities will be represented.
……………………………………………………………………………………………………………………
Men are represented as unstereotypical and people of all ethnicities are represented as equal.
……………………………………………………………………………………………………………………
My billboards meet the advertising requirements of the asa and cap. My billboards are not misleading, the child in one
……………………………………………………………………………………………………………………
billboard is not in danger and isn't talking to strangers and isn’t shown as inferior. There isn’t any false advertising and all
of my billboards are appropriate with no explicit images.
