having 10 and distributing them

I will show a video explaining
how to solve multiplication and
division problems. (Ex: "How to
Solve Multiplication and
Division Word Problems" on
YouTube)
I will have a set of flashcards
and will go through a few
multiplication and division
problems by drawing it out on
the board.
AUDITORY KINESTHETIC/TACTILE
LEARNERS
I will use a song explaining how
to multiply and divide. (Ex:
"Long Multiplication Song" and
"Division Song for Kids" on
YouTube)
I will have word problems and
explain how to solve for the
answer. (Ex: "Isaac scored 7
points for both halves of the
soccer game..." and a similar
word problem for multiplication.)
I will give students flashcards
that have the process, or steps,
on how to multiply/divide where
they will need to read it out loud
and have other students follow
along on a piece of paper.
I will work through the specific
problems, or common mistakes,
that students have when they
solve certain equations or word
problems.
LEARNERS
I will have students use objects
around the classroom to use for
solving the multiplication and
division problems.
I will have students use blocks to
work out the multiplication or
division problem given to each
student. (Each student will be
given their own problem to
work out by themselves.)
I will have students write the
multiplication/division problem
on white boards as well as draw
out their equation and show how
they solved it. (To check for
understanding, I could have
them verbally explain.)
I will give students multiplication
and division problems and
provide them with beans to
solve and demonstrate each
problem.
