of understanding cryptocurrency.
In order to meet the compliance of the study, the researcher should consider the
following statements of the problem:

students?

Justification of the Study

This study must be carried out to quantify the volume of the accountancy students’
population on who among them are aware about cryptocurrency. This study will help them to
understand what cryptocurrency is and this paper might encourage them to further their
discovery about this topic. Additionally, in this study the researchers will determine the
impacts of cryptocurrency awareness and understanding have an accounting students.
Moreover, this research ought to know the understanding and interpretation of the chosen
respondents on cryptocurrency. Since the researcher thought that this kind of topic is not
often discussed, they wish to study this as the cryptocurrency are increasing.

Related Literature
According to Jake Frankenfield, (2022) in definition of cryptocurrency, “A
cryptocurrency is a digital or virtual currency that is secured by cryptography, which makes it
nearly impossible to counterfeit or double-spend. Many cryptocurrencies are decentralized
networks based on blockchain technology— a distributed ledger enforced by a disparate
network of computers. A defining feature of cryptocurrencies is that they are generally not
issued by any central authority, rendering them theoretically immune to government
interference or manipulation.”
According to Fabrice Alomo (2020), “Cryptocurrency is based on blockchain
technology, blockchain technology development is in high demand and has created
opportunities for many software developers. Students studying cryptocurrency stand
advantaged because they can use the knowledge gained to develop or improve blockchains.

More cryptocurrency platforms are being developed than before, meaning more
opportunities are being created for developers. Students who show a special interest in
blockchain technology shall be pioneers of a new level of technology and they will not feel
left out of the market.”
Jordan Major, an investor and market analyst (2022); say that ”Cryptocurrencies (also
known as digital currencies, cryptos, virtual assets, or digital assets) are digital forms of
currencies. They can be used to pay for goods and services just like conventional currencies.
Like how the traditional forms of currencies can be traded against one another on the forex,
cryptocurrencies can also be traded against specific pairs on specialized platforms called
cryptocurrency exchanges. The difference is that unlike conventional currencies such as the
U.S. dollar, cryptocurrencies are often not controlled by a single entity. They are also secured
using complex cryptography coupled with a new form of online public ledger called
a blockchain. It is distributed to anyone and everyone interested in having a copy.”

Methodology
This chapter describe how the study was undertaken. This presents the methods used
by the researchers in accomplishing the objectives and acquiring data in this study. The
chapter introduces the research design along with its implications and relevance to the study.
This chapter also tackles respondent-related data such as determining the research population
and the researchers selected the Bachelor of Science in Accountancy students. Lastly, the
chapter tackles methodical topics such as research instrument, data collection procedure, and
plan of data analysis.
The following are the methods that the researchers chose to apply in this research:
• Quantitative Research it collects data through quantitative and close-ended questions and
the data is analyzed using statistics, mathematical and computerized tools.
• Behavioural Research it examines the way people behave.
• Survey Research it is the collection of information from a sample of individuals through
their responses to questions.
