Participated in a month-long group sessions discussing how social media has transformed people’s ability to connect
and create solutions for social causes. I then wrote my own research paper comparing the visual representation of
refugees in multiple Greece main news platforms with the representation of refugees in social media.

29 June - 10 July, 2020 King's College Summer Program

Enrolled in the two weeks Business Management Course. Covered different topics on management including
marketing and finance. Completed a written assignment and a group presentation about a case study on a brand we
created as a team. Achieved a certificate of completion.

June 2020 University of Santa Cruz Online Program by Coursera

Enrolled in the 4 weeks Feminism and Social Justice Course, where we covered topics such as the history of feminism
and social justice movements. Achieved a certificate of completion.

May, June 2020 Yale University Online Program by Coursera

Enrolled in the four weeks Science of Well Being course and the eight weeks Moral Foundation of Politics course. In
the Science of Well Being course I learned about misconceptions about happiness and features of the human mind
that affect feelings. In the Moral Foundation of Politics Course, I was introduced to major political theories. Achieved
certificates of completion for both courses.

May 2020 University of London Online Program by Coursera

Enrolled in the five weeks Brand Management course and the six weeks Guide to Managing People at Work course.

April 2020 University of Pennsylvania Online Program by Coursera

Enrolled in the four weeks Managing Social and Human Capital Course and the five weeks Intro to Marketing Course.
Lectures covered topics such as branding, customer centricity, and go to market strategies. Achieved certificates of

July 2019 UCLA Summer Junior Program

Enrolled in the four weeks Entrepreneurship Course. During the course, we were required to develop a business plan
as a team, which we then presented to potential investors at the end of the course. Achieved a certificate of

EXTRACURRICULAR ACTIVITIES AND LEADERSHIP

2020-Present, President of the RC Make A Wish Initiative

Collaborate with Make A Wish Turkey Foundation to fulfill wishes of critically ill children. As the President of the
initiative, I delegate the tasks to volunteers, manage social media posts, and communicate with Make a Wish Turkey.
We organize informative panels and create fundraising activities to collect money for the foundation.

2019-2020 – Present, Member European Youth Parliament

Meet for one and a half hours each week. Attended sessions in Turkey and abroad such as the Istanbul’19 Third
National Forum of EYP Turkey and Portelegro’20 Regional Forum of EYP Portugal.

2020, Member RC Best Buddies Initiative

The Best Buddies Initiative consists of volunteers hoping to create opportunities and provide safe environments for
children with mental and physical disabilities to socialize. Regularly met with my mentee who was a mentally
disabled twelve year old child to help her adjust to social life through activities such as going out for long walks,
doing picnics, and going to movie theaters.

2019, Member Destination Imagination

Participated in challenges where as a team we were required to come up with creative and innovative solutions in a
very limited time. The main challenge for which teams prepared for more than six months was about using drama
elements, writing a play and creating the stage and costumes. Minor challenges such as making a ball stay in the air
for more than fifteen seconds with the given materials were about accomplishing a mission in the shortest possible
time through teamwork.

SOCIAL AND COMMUNITY SERVICE

2021, 16-20 August (Volunteer) Teaching English and Mathematics to Eighth-Grade Students
Taught English and Mathematics to eighth-grade students who are attending the national high school entrance
exam.

2021, 12-14 July (Leader) Vaccination Awareness Campaign

Considering the rising covid cases in the city, organized a conference in a private school with the aim of creating
awareness within students’ guardians. Invited a well known doctor and a pedagogue to give a speech about the
importance of being vaccinated for schools to open face to face and how online school affects children’s well being.

2021, 18 June-30 June Leader English For Fun Community Involvement Project
Taught English to children aged 8-12 through online sessions using fun team-building games, and activities. This
project provided opportunities for kids to form meaningful communication with each other while learning English.
As the project leader, I came up with the lesson topics and the curriculum. I arranged the daily schedule and came up
with the activities. Achieved Lions Club certificate.

2021, Published a Coffee Table Book: What Makes You Laugh Kills Us
After coming back to my hometown due to the pandemic, I started to document local people and their daily lives
through photographs. Through this project which ultimately resulted in a coffee table book, I aimed to reveal a side
of my hometown that other people usually don’t get a chance to see and give an accurate insight about life in Adana.

2020, Leader Young Guru Academy Science Movement Campaign

Started a campaign to support the YGA’s Science Movement which provides educational science sets to students in
the most disadvantaged regions of Turkey. I raised ten thousand liras through social media appeals which was
enough for two hundred and ten science kits. At the end, the science kits were sent to an orphanage in the town of
Edirne.

2019-2020, Volunteer BU Paws

Volunteered at the stray animals shelter at Bogazici University, helping with the grooming, bathing, feeding,
exercising of animals. After May 2020, due to pandemic, we could not help out physically but we conducted
interviews with a vet or animal activist to raise awareness about the bad conditions street animals face in our
country - which were then published in the school newspapers and the social media platform of the project.

2018-2019, RC Leadership Training Program Participant

Received twenty five hours of training. Attended workshops and activities in order to learn how to organize my own
community projects.

2018-2019, Volunteer Antem (Working with Blind Kids)

Met with visually impaired children twice a month on Saturdays.Played games, came up with scenarios and acted
them out with them so they could use their other senses and make them feel comfortable in different social
environments.

WORK EXPERIENCE

2019-Present - Founder Destinesia Clothing

Started a clothing brand with my friend to produce affordable good quality fashion pieces. We design our own
merchandise, negotiate production costs with textile companies, and are currently selling our products online.

May-June, 2021 - One month Internship at Kinay Agency (Transit Ship Agency)
Prepared bill of lading. Informed the carrier about status data, loading port, loading date. Filed shipping documents.
Learned about maritime traffic and law.

October- November, 2020 - One month Internship at the Trading Department of Cargill Cooperation
American privately held global food corporation. Conducted market research for oilseeds and grains to calculate the
price risks regarding the sale and purchase of oilseeds or grains. Translated and organized export contracts for
cereals, rice and oilseeds.

2020 August - Two weeks Internship at And Spica (Chartered Accountant)

Helped with the preparation of multiple board presentations which were about business process improvement.
Conducted multiple business analyses and reported financial performances.
