Reflection Essay

A quote that summarizes how my school year went was “you success and happiness
lie in you” (-unkown) this relates to how it went because this year i have decided to take
initiative of my work and grades. I decided to not blame my work on anyone else and
get it done. I would say I have had a productive year. I did not gain a lot of useful
information from my school work this year. I have rather gained stamina. I worked hard
and have kept my grades at a decent level throughout this year, As well as learned alot
about mental health and balance independently. This helped me focus better in school
and have more motivation.

This year has impacted my relationship with god by seeing all the different views,
relationships, and beliefs people have with god and how it has impacted others lives.
This has helped me by seeing what to do and what not to do by learning from other
people's mistakes. As well as journeys that they will willingly preach to other people. I
am a personal person who does not like to share my relationship with God. This school
has made me branch out more about it and be able to discuss and teach it to others
who ask me about it. Where I would want to improve my relationship with him is to read
the bible and learn his teachings outside of school and not just in school. I have always
made excuses to not spend time with him. Especially now that when i graduate from cca
that my relationship with him won't fade away after.

Now that I am growing up and realizing I'm going to be 18 in a year and a half, I think
this year was very beneficial for improving myself. I learned how to drive and made new
friendships. Also learned how to live like an adult with the freedoms I have been given
as well as handle all my school work independently. What makes me feel more mature
is the freedoms i have gained and experiences i have been through. If i were to look at
myself when i first walked into the doors of cca compared to the last day of school i
would look at the same person with a totally different mindset compared to now. As well
as knowing that if that person saw where i am today compared to back than, that i
would be an inspiration to them. This makes me feel like i have grown the most this year
mentally than any other year and makes me feel proud of the person i have grown into
and become.

Junior year is an important year, and I want to make the most of it by continuing to
make new friends and working hard and keeping my grades up. I want to start touring
colleges next year so I won't be stressed during senior year of where to go because I
am clueless at the moment. also work hard on studying fpr ACTs. What i will continue
to do from this year is work hard and be diligent and be productive. Most importantly,
continue the balance of my mind, soul, and body too. Some hobbies that i find
interesting that i want to pick up next year is learning the guitar and check out film and
photography because these seem like fun things to do and learn because it could
benefit me in the future by helping me find my passion. Some hobbies that I would like
to continue are skateboarding and working out. I do not plan on joining any sports
because i will be getting a job to pay off my car. There are so many new opportunities
ahead of me and i cant wait to learn more and gain more knowledge next school year.
