Last week we were delighted that colleagues in our pastoral team, Jayne Cooper

park. We looked for and found many signs of
Spring and Summer. We had great discussions
about deciduous and evergreen trees and tried
to remember the different flower names.

We ended our walk with a play in the park.

Well done to the Y5 children

who took part in the Christ's
Hospital Maths Challenge at
Cutlers' Hall last week. The
children made Arbourthorne
so proud, with one team
coming 9th out of 48 schools.
Math-tastic! Big thanks to
some Y6 children who helped
mark the maths too

Y2 have had busy

week, working as

sessions this week
and we have been
exploring school with
Buddy the dog!

Y3 took on two engineering challenges this week: making the tallest tower
and the strongest tower out of pegs and lolly sticks.

Just before Easter break, the Nursery children were supported on an Easter egg hunt
by their adults. They had lots of fun hunting for the eggs and exchanging them for
chocolate eggs. Children also wore and paraded Easter hats made both at home and
in Nursery. We finished off the session singing ‘Chick, Chick, Chicken’ to our adults.

An Even Better Arbourthorne - News!

AEBA would like to share some amazing photos we have taken recently of Our Healthy Hideout! We
want to take this time to say a HUGE thank you to the children of the school and families of
Arbourthorne that have completely transformed this space and that continue to look after it every
single week! We love being outdoors with you all and we can't wait for the warmer weather so we can
grow more, eat lots of yummy fruit and vegetables and have more fires in the fire pit.
