Fundraising thanks and other updates…

Welcome back to school on such a windy day! We do hope you have had a good week away
from school, and feel ready and raring to learn ahead of Spring 2 term.

We wanted to send a big thank you to our parent fundraising team - you will have noticed
some of the events they have planned happening around school. Thank you to those of you
who are participating so that funds can be raised to spend in school on the children. Look
out for more exciting events that have been planned once COVID restrictions begin to ease!

Sheffield City Council advice remains the same for us in school - to wear masks in
communal spaces - so you may see colleagues wearing masks and, if you attend a meeting
in school, you may be asked to wear a mask for this. We are very much looking forward to
coming out of the other side of the restrictions and guidelines we have adhered to over the
last months. As always, thanks for your co-operation.

Y3 Pandas had an amazing time learning

how to play the Glockenspiels in music this
week! We learnt about where we would find
the low and high notes.

Y6 had a lovely walk

around school with Dom
and Buddy the dog,
discussing these
questions: How do you
care for a pet? When
are you old enough to
have a pet? What is
responsibility? What
care do animals need?
How can you ensure the
wellbeing of a
pet/animal?

In Y2 we have been learning about how the
Tudors influenced our lives. We have been Y5 learned about famous women in
building castles and we haa debate to see if science for International Women

our teeth because of their sugar and acid.

Now that the nights are getting lighter and the weather is lifting a little bit, our Growing clubs are
thriving! We run two wonderful growing projects and we would love to invite you along!
Red Robin Family Fun Club - Every Tuesday after-school 3:15 - 4:14 pm at Red Robin House. This
club encourages families to come and join us after school for one hour to get involved with lots of
wonderful outdoor/indoor activities! We have whittled sticks ready for toasting marshmallows, planted
more seeds than we can count and taken home some tasty fruit and veg to try that we have grown!
Get Growing - Every Monday morning 9:00 - 11:00 am in the Our Healthy Hideout space! This group is
for adults (and small toddlers/babies) who want to get out of the house, get active and put your mind
into activities! We maintain the outdoor space and do any jobs that might be needed ... We have even
built outdoor furniture and prepared for a firepit so you can use skills you might not know you have!
If either of the opportunities above sound like something you want to learn more about, drop us a
message on 07735357411 and we can talk further!
