7. Try to grasp ideas from various sources like Books, Journals, and Magazines and draft
the concept in your own words.

Objective: The objective of this assignment is to make students’ Speak objectively, develop
oral presentation, speak persuasively, and maintain the sense of confidence and self-worth
along and developing skills to face audience.

THESIS STATEMENT:
“EVERY GOOD LEADER IS A PART MANAGER AND EVERY GOOD MANAGER IS A
PART LEADER”

Topic: The Qualities of a Good Manager

What is manager?

A manager is a person, who is responsible for a part of a company, i.e., they ‘manage ‘the company.
Managers may be in charge of a department and the people who work in it. In some cases, the manager
is in charge of the whole business. For example, a ‘restaurant manager’ is in charge of the whole
restaurant.

A manager is a person who exercises managerial functions primarily. They should have the power to
hire, fire, discipline, do performance appraisals, and monitor attendance. They should also have the
power to approve overtime, and authorize vacations. He or She is the boss.

Manager must be good communicator and soft spoken and always available for backup the team when
needed. Managers are responsible for motivating their employees and always say after completing the
task that we did not ‘I did’, which means that they themselves must possess the ability to self-motivate.
In large part, the main job of a manager is communication. Good managers are able to communicate
with their employees in a way that is clear and conducive to a positive working relationship. As a
manager, it is important for you to be confident. Having confidence shows your employees that you
believe in your own abilities, which will increase their respect for you. Unfortunately, such confidence is
all too often mistaken for arrogance. One ineffective management strategy is withholding information
from your employees. Instead, effective managers share as much information as possible with their
employees, creating an environment of collective intelligence. In last, a great manager is able to solve
the problem. Problem solving is one of the key components of a management position, whether you are
working out a conflict between employees or solving a crisis with a client. Good managers are
trustworthy, and they respect confidentiality. Employees need to have faith in their leaders and know
that their managers have their employees’ best interests at heart. Most of the cases employee completes
assigned tasks for their manager and it depends how good, cooperative and motivational he is and knows
how to treat his team in positive manner.

In the End I just concluded my speech by saying that individual is motivated by different things. Good
managers can relate to every member of their team, which will help them understand how to empower
and motivate employees to get the best out of them and help them become the best they can be. This can
come in the form of simply recognizing employees for their hard work. No matter what motivational
technique you adopt, be sure to understand what motivates your team and give them incentives to work
toward and yes, they making the decision and always ready to stand with his team when the team need.
