1. Mention any four important characteristics of self disclosure?


a. Self disclosure is very important for an individual because he may be a
different person, known to others.
b. By self disclosure an individual is benefited by getting placed in good
position in society.
c. Self disclosure paves way for self awareness
d. An individual may be self conscious as to focus on the positive side and
he can aim at a positive side to develop his skills.
2. Define Stress
“Stress is the anxiety or inner emotions of a person or fear”.
Stress is caused, due to heavy work load or due to environment changes,
habits and pressure in the outside work place as well in the family.

3. What is meant by fear and anxiety?


Fear is the inner most feeling of a person and it controls a person to shine
in his life.
Anxiety is another kind of emotion caused due to the expectations that
something is going to happen.
4. What is meant by self talk?
Self talk is a talk of a person, when he/she is put to loneliness or
communicates to himself because of self depression, or due to sadness or
due to some ill happenings in his life.
5. What is meant by self esteem?
Self esteem is nothing but being self confident and thinking high about
himself, is known as self esteem.
6. What are acronyms?
It is a word formed from the initial letter or letters of each of the successive
parts or major parts of a compound term.
7. State the importance of Co-operative learning.
Co-operative learning leads a person to develop new ideas, new thoughts
and enhances his memory hindrance. Co-operative learning leads a person
to achieve positive level in his life.
8. Why do students tend to forget during exams?
Students try to forget because of fear, tension, many distractions and
mainly because of exam fear, he may also become sick and it might also
lead to fatal.
9. What is SQ3R method?
SQ3R method is – Survey, write Questions, lead, recite, review – Memory
devices.
SQ3R method is surveying, analyzing the questions and reading, reciting,
receiving and also memorizing the answers of the questions.
10.State any four Consequences of procrastination?
By being procrastinated one could lose his positions in the office. Delaying
for the work which should have been done earlier for which could have
been done urgent.

11.State how can effective goals be set and could be achieved. Explain with
suitable example
Effective goals can be set by an individual at the very starting stage during
his studies. An individual should set short-term goals so that he can aim at a
shortened period and he should also set long term goals to achieve the final
result.
To obtain optimum result one has to identify his talent and also aim at a
constant level continuously, to achieve that goal and should also aim for
the success in his career; for example if a person wants to become a
scientist or a Doctor or an Engineer he has to set goals or target .For
achieving his target of Doctor he has to follow his method of study to
achieve his idea or thought or pre-set goal as to accomplish his goal. So
effective goal should be set at the beginning itself and should be achieved
and followed usefully.
12.Describe the various method or components of study skills methods used
by you
The various methods of study skills are CER3 – visualizing or seeing at a
glance the various questions, concentrating, relating, repeating reviewing
the analyzed or visualized questions and also reciting the answers.
Another method of study skills are SQ3R – Survey questions, write
questions, reading, reciting, review and also memorizing the answers.
Co-operative learning, group discussions – discussing the various answers
and clearing the doubts with each other is another technique of study skills.
Study skills also include revising the answers several times, two to three
times over and over again.
13.What is Shyness and explain how you can overcome shyness?
Shyness is an innermost timid and sensitive feeling of an individual. It can
be also called as a fear or not having any positive approach or self
confidence within himself. Shyness is the very cause for an individual’s
failure in his life. Shyness will lead a person to become lazy and it will
harass his good thoughts and also will curtail his way to success in his
career.
Shyness can be curtailed or overcome by developing positive thoughts,
positive attitude and also by aiming at a preset goal or by developing self
confidence and should be bold in disclosing himself.
14.Explain the various steps involved in systematic muscle relaxation
techniques.
Systematic muscle relaxation technique is another method of developing a
person’s posture. By constantly doing exercises, yoga and also doing
meditation one can come out of fear, anxiety and shyness.
The steps involved are (1) Hands muscle relaxation (2) Legs (3) Back (4)
Stomach (5) Eyes (6) Breathing Exercise (7) Abdominal exercise stretching
the muscle and releasing them gently relaxes a person’s mind, body & soul.

Muscle relaxation technique should be adapted by both the genders - Male


or Female as well as with different age groups; older to younger people can
do the exercise regularly and systematically.
15.Highlight the various causes of stress in your life and explain how you
manage it.
Stress is caused by various environmental changes due to family or the
outside – work place.
Stress can be caused by constant work pressure and tension. It may lead a
person to a fatal position and also can cause a person to develop high blood
pressure. Sickness and depression may also be caused to a person because
of stress.
Stress can be overcome by managing anger and controlling, by doing
various exercises, meditation and joining social groups.
One can come out of stress by changing his life style attitude and changing
his habits, changing his environment and concentrating in area which
interests him.
16.How does anger affect you and explain how you manage anger effectively?
Anger is another emotional feeling of an individual. Anger may be caused
by a person due to various courses of life. The emotional feeling – anger
should be controlled and it should be kept at a proper level because anger
will cause a person to take wrong decisions at that moment. Taking a
decision at the time of anger will not be a correct one.
At the time of losing the temper one should be silent without thinking
about anything and be silent for a moment. By this way one can control and
manage anger effectively. Anger is another cause for a person’s sickness
and it should be controlled effectively.
17.Why do you procrastinate and suggest ways of overcoming procrastinate?
Delaying or doing some work slow or late that should be done at the
correct time. By procrastinating, delay in the work may be present and also
it would yield a person to be terminated. Some individuals procrastinate
the work for simply being idle and relaxing for a moment.
More urgent or immediate tasks in preference to an urgent task may be
undertaken than carrying out less urgent tasks and unnecessary delaying or
postponing the task.
The ways of overcoming procrastinate is that there should be a supervisor
or a Boss to supervise or guide the particular set of individuals and motivate
them to finish the task before or at the said date. Hence, there would be no
delay in the work and the task will be completed in the correct date,
without any procrastination.
Thus each and every individual should avoid this procrastination in order to
complete the task in a successful manner.
