What is current? An Electrical Current is the rate of flow of charge in a circuit.

The direction of current is the direction of conventional current, which is the direction that positive

charges flow. (Opposite to the flow of electrons).

What is the magnitude of a current? One amp of current is equivalent to the rate of one coulomb of charge passing a fixed point over a period of
one second.

What is the unit of a current? The unit of current is ampere(amp), it's symbol is I and the unit abbreviation is A.

What is voltage? Voltage is the energy transferred per unit charge between two points. (It is also referenced to as the
potential difference).

What is the magnitude of a voltage(potential difference)?

The magnitude of the voltage(potential difference) influences the amount of current that flows.

What is the unit of voltage? The unit of voltage is Volts(V).

What is resistance? A measure of how much a material opposes the flow of charge through it.

What is the unit for resistance? The unit for resistance is Ohms(R/Symbol Omega).

What is the Ohm's Law? V=IR is the formula used to find the Volt, Ohms or Amps in a circuit.

What are circuits? A circuit is a closed path for electricity to flow.

What is a simple circuit? A series circuit is a circuit where all components are linked up in a single loop.

Is the current the same everywhere in a simple circuit? Yes, the current is the same everywhere in a simple circuit.

When and how much does the voltage drop? The voltage drops at every component in a simple circuit.

What are parallel circuits? Parallel circuits are circuits where the current splits at a junction and reconnects later on.

How do branches and junction affect the current?

The sum of the currents in the branches entering a junction is the same as the sum of currents leaving that
junction.
How do branches and junctions affect the voltage? Voltage is the same along any branch of a parallel circuit.

SUMMARY

A circuit is a closed path for electricity to flow. There are two main types of circuits, a simple circuit and a parallel circuit. Every circuit has a flow of
electrons, this is called the voltage(V). With the voltage comes the ressistace and current. The current is the energy being transferred between two
different points. The resistance is the opposing flow of charge. We can calculate either one of these using the other two as they are related quite
closely. The formula use for this is known as the Ohm's law : V=IR.
