Topic: Main output devices of Computer

Definition of Computer:
A Computer is programmed device with a set of instructions to perform specific tasks and
generate results at a very high speed.

Output Device
Definition - What does Output Device mean?

An output device is any device used to send data from a computer to another device or user.
Most computer data output that is meant for humans is in the form of audio or video. Thus, most
output devices used by humans are in these categories.

Here I am going to share you about list of basic Output devices related to computer.

Monitors

Monitors, commonly called as Visual Display Unit (VDU), are the main output device of a
computer. It forms images from tiny dots, called pixels that are arranged in a rectangular form.
The sharpness of the image depends upon the number of pixels.

There are two kinds of viewing screen used for monitors.

Cathode-Ray Tube (CRT)

Speakers and Headphones

What are speakers and headphones?

Speakers and headphone are the output devices responsible for producing sounds.  Speakers and
headphones convert digital signals into analogue sound waves that are audible to our human ear
drums.  Speakers come as standard is most portable computing devices.  Desktop computers
usually require the purchase of separate speakers.

Speakers and headphones aren’t just for music; they also allow us to hear computer warning
signals and other people when communicating via voice or video calls.

Projector

A projector is a output device which connects to a computer and is used to project the

video output from the computer onto a wall or screen. In classrooms they are often used with
electronic whiteboards. The projector can be portable and placed on a stand or it can be
permanently fixed to the ceiling.

Formative Evaluation

Question will be asked from students in different points of view during lesson according to the
situation and understanding of the students.

Summative Evaluation

At the end of lesson different questions will be asked as summative evaluation regarding the
