We couldn’t sit down until she gave us permission, the very typical in Colombia.

QUESTIONS:

a. What activities the students had to develop in the Italian class?

First, they had to practice vocabulary from the previous class, then, they had to get new
vocabulary from a cards and practice pronunciation and spelling. After that, they had to practice
the new words with an activity called “fill in the blanks”

b. What is the main idea of the text?

The main idea of the text, is that we should pay more attention in foreign languages.
Sarah and I traveled to Europe two years ago. We rented a car and, it broke down after 2 hours
driving. The provider did not answer the phone. After 30 minutes he called back. I asked for a
refund and they offered us a better car. We accepted and kept on. We stopped every 2 hours to
warm up and stretch. I plugged in Sarah’s phone and listen some latino music on the road trip. I
took out my binoculars to appreciate the nature and to see a wild animal. After a while, I gave up
because it was getting dark. Our bodies ran out of energy so, we stayed at a hotel.
