While approaching the drive in clinic, the patients will wait in their vehicles while maintaining a 10-
meter distance. At the designated time of the OPD, only the patient will be dropped at the clinic
for evaluation by the doctor and will prescribe necessary treatment. Within this set up, the samples
for testing shall be collected as well as medications shall be provided. All these will be done in this
drive in clinic without having to enter the hospital building even once. All necessary safety protocols
& mechanisms have been put in place.
Speaking on the launch of this unique clinic, Mr Hardeep Singh, Zonal Director, Fortis Hospital,
NOIDA said, “Our endeavour is to strive towards greater patient safety norms always. During these
times of COVID19, it is even more relevant. The idea behind this unique clinic is to contain any
potential exposure even while providing emergency consultation. This is going to be especially
helpful in protecting the vulnerable population like older adults, young infants, pregnant ladies as
well as anyone with a compromised immunity. They can now avail treatments through these secure
clinics.”
There is an acrylic partition between the patient and the consultant, measures to ensure good
ventilation and air circulation in the clinics have been taken. Hand sanitizers and masks have been
made available for the patients. Disinfection and cleaning processes are undertaken after each
patient leaves the drive-in-clinic.
