Conclusions:
- Most of the employees don’t even know what the Works Council does exactly
- International employees are often not at all familiar with the Works Council
- The Works Council isn’t visible enough within ASML
- There is an information overload within ASML and there’s a mail culture
- The target audience is such a broad one that one topic doesn’t concern everyone
Insights:
- Everyone I spoke to has heard something about the Works Council during the elections
- Personal communication is the most effective way
- Because not everyone knows exactly what the Works Council does, it creates less interest in
general
- Those who have ever been helped by the WoCo, see the usefulness of it

Communication goals:
To create awareness, to inform, to involve, to inspire, to tempt, to persuade
Challenges:
- Early involvement in decision making to make sure the WoCo has early impact
- Time. Other activities are prioritized over communications
- The WoCo members in the PR committee are not experts in communications
- The big group of new employees every month
- Information overload within ASML
