 SITE BACKGROUND
SELANGOR
Selangor is situated on Peninsular Malaysia's
west coast, bordering Perak to the north, Pahang
to the east, Negeri Sembilan to the south, and
the Malacca Straits to the west.
KLANG
Klang is a Malaysian royal town and the former
capital of Selangor. It may be found in the Klang
District. Prior to the establishment of Kuala
Lumpur and the current capital, Shah Alam, it was
the civil capital of Selangor.
 MERU
Meru adalah sebuah bandar kecil di daerah
Klang, Selangor, Malaysia. Bandar ini sedang
meningkat naik kerana terdapat banyak bandar
baru dibangunkan di sekitarnya. Antara bandar
baru yang sedang pesat membangun di Meru adalah
Bandar Baru Setia Alam.

Pedestrian walkway and bicycle
lane were design side to side
to make it more compact and
special without using a lot of
spaces. With an additional
touch of vegetation and urban
furniture on pedestrian
walkway, it automatically will
make people interested on
walking more while enjoying
the streets.
 LINKAGES
(BRIDGE)

Linkages are needed in order

for people to be able to cross
to other side of the side,
from the issues itself we
identified that site has a
heavy traffic. To be able to
create bridges for pedestrian
can make people cross to all
spaces comfortably.
 PUBLIC
SPACE
Public Spaces that are well
designed and well maintained
are the main attraction for
people to come back to. Having
a public space that are full
of landscapes, beautiful
design and eventful will make
this town merrier and
beneficial on attracting
tourists. This public space
have the connectivity from
area to area and it can be a
shortcut for them to access
anywhere they want within the
site such as a shortcut from
their home to the commercial
area.
Compact Parking
Space
Parking space were proposed near
commercial area to avoid
congested traffic. It is also
for people convenience so that
they won't need to park beside
roads and rush their way out
since half of the commercial is
informal activities especially
in Jalan Meru Tambahan. Having
parking spaces is a benefit for
people where they can park their
car and just hangout or just
take their time buying anything
they want in the commercial
area.
 Bus Stop
Bus Stops were proposed at
industrial area to provide
facilities and convenient for
workers. This is making their
transportation easier and faster
than before with extra comfort.
By designing the bus shelter to
make it more beautiful and
enhance the pedestrian walkway
on the bus stop area, workers
might find it more comfortable
and attractive.
 BUFFER ZONE

Buffer zone are important for

people to have a comfortable
living in their residential
areas. This won’t disturb the
resident and there will be no
problem on for industry to
operate.
