2 Visual check: SPBC_III

2.1 Car position and speed direction indicator (SDI)

Status Possible reason

15
14
13 ● Received parameters from TCBC are out of range
12 ● Encoder track failed 3 times (failures stored in E2PROM)
11
10 ● Hall temperature sensor (HTS) > HtsMax
9 ● DZI is not wired / available
8 ● Over speed was reached

LED What to do
13 Ø check all parameters
12 Ø erase events (at TCBC with SVT); check encoder A wire; start a controlled run
Ø Shut down the complete System. Wait until the environment temperature is
10
cooling down at the floor with the E&I panel.
9 Ø check door zone indicator (DZI) and its wiring
Ø check encoder parameter EncoderWidth
8 Ø reset OS safety contact if opened
Ø check parameter NomSpeed if too low for the unit

Car position and speed direction indicator (continued)

Status Possible reason
7 ● No CAN communication with master
6
5 ● Battery is defective
4 ● E2PROM of SPBC_II is defective
3 ● Measured direction does not match dictated direction
2 ● No signals from encoder track B
1 ● No signals from encoder track A
0 ● Hardware/software failure

LED What to do
Ø check CAN wiring between TCBC and SPBC_II
Ø check ground connection between SPBC_II and TCBC
7
Ø check CAN_OK led at TCBC
Ø check power supply of TCBC
Ø Check battery wiring
5
Ø Replace battery
Ø Replace SPBC_II because after loss of power the direction and scale of SDI is not
4
reliable any more.
Ø If rescue encoder-track A and B are exchanged, change SDI-DIR parameter (0->1
or 1->0) or exchange pin4 and pin 5 at SPBC_II
3
Ø Adjust the drive in case of rollbacks
Ø If rescue encoder-track B is defect replace rescue encoder
Ø check rescue encoder wiring
2
Ø replace rescue encoder
Ø check rescue encoder wiring
1
Ø replace rescue encoder
0 Ø replace SPBC_II

SDI blinking in both directions while running

Possible reason No signals from rescue encoder

Ø check rescue encoder wiring

What to do
Ø replace rescue encoder
