General Rules : 1) A maximum of 100 equivalent ft. (30.5 m) but not more than 40
linear ft. (12.2 m) of 1/4 in
2) The highest point of the system shall not exceed 12 ft. (3.7 m)
above the cyliner outlet adapter.
3) Vertical rise of branch above supply line not to be more than 1.2 mtr.
4) Maximum dicharge pipe volume shall not be exceeded
5) Maximum equivalent length shall not be exceeded
6) Maximum folw point for a given pipe shall not be exceeded
7) There should not be low points or trap in piping.

Discharge Line Volume : 1) = 1.23 mtr + 1.57 mtr + 1.84 mtr

= 4.64 mtr. (15.22 ft) of 1/2" Size Pipe

: 2) = 0.10 mtr + 0.20 mtr + 0.43 mtr + 0.65 mtr + 0.52 mtr 0.38 mtr + 0.34 mtr + 0.3 mtr
0.33 mtr + 0.60 mtr + 0.54 mtr + 1.00 mtr + 0.76 mtr + 1.06 + 0.20 mtr + 0.1 mtr
+ 0.44 mtr + 0.15 mtr + (0.47 mtr) x 6 + 0.49 mtr + 0.15 mtr
= 11.56 mtr. (37.92 ft) of 3/8" Size Pipe

Note:
3/8" Pipe = 2.29 cu inch per linear foot
1/2" Pipe = 3.65 cu inch per foot
3/4" Pipe = 6.4 cu inch per linear foot

Hence Total Volume =

1) = (15.22 x 3.65) + (37.92 x 2.29)
= 55.55 + 86.84
= 142.39 cu inch

Discharge Pipe Volume : = 400 cu inch for WHDR-600

Allowed per Cylinder

Equivalent Length : = Equivalent length is the actual measured length of discharge pipe
plus the length of equivalent fittings in the line. For WHDR-600
cylinder, it should not be more than 75 ft & between most remote
nozzle is 80 ft.

Plus 3 x 3/8" Run Tee = 3 x 0.8 ft = 2.4 ft
Reducer 1 x 3/4" x 1/2" = 1 x 0.4 ft = 0.4 ft

Our Desinged Length is (20.50 ft) 6.25 mtr i.e. the pipe length is
greater than the minimum allowed length i.e. this length is safe.
