Listening is when you receive a language through the ears or to pay attention in hearing someone or
something. It uses the sense of hearing.

2.Speaking
Speaking is to articulate a speech or a sounds through the mouth.

3.Interaction
Interaction is when to act or collaborate to one another.

4.Writing
Writing is to form any characters on a surface with an instrument like pen or pencil.

5.Reading
Reading is to receive or take in the sense of letters or symbols especially by sight or touch.

TEST II. Explain the importance of Language Arts in teaching elementary students. (10 points)
Language arts are important when teaching elementary students because it describes and help the
learners develop the modes of language as early as their age such as listening, writing, reading and
speaking. It is a universal foundation of communication and a lifelong learning to ensure their successful
future. Through this language arts, they can learn to appreciate and apply things in a real life situation.
TEST III. As future teachers, provide your own steps and strategies to improve students’ listening
skills. (10 points)
As a future teacher, the steps that I will used sooner in the future to help my learners improve their listening
skills is interest, I need to be interested for them to activate their listening skills since listening requires
concentration and paying attention. Keep the focus on them and let them talk when necessary. Have it in
our mind that all of this is going to be on the other person talking. So as a teacher, we have to be more
interesting because we are the model in the eye of our learners.

2. It requires attentiveness and great receptivity on part of the receivers/audience.
