Talwalkars Better Value Fitness Limited or “Talwalkars” is one of India’s largest
chains of Health clubs & Fitness Centres.
with over 150 gyms spanning 80 cities across the country & 12 gyms in Sri Lanka.
It was started in the year 1932 by Shri Vishnupant Talwalkar

Information about Process
 Each club offers personal training services, personal trainers are classified as
regular, premium & super premium, the classification is done on the basis of
the training they have completed & their experience.
 All sessions are logged in our CRM system, each trainer also maintains a
session book for manually recording all the session conducted by him.
 At the end of each monthly cycle the sessions from the system are tabulated
& matched with the personal records, any discrepancy found is immediately
resolved or escalated to higher authorities.
 Each level of trainer gets commission based on his/her category. Commission
is calculated on percentage basis of the total fees paid by the client.

The Following process flow chart indicates the process followed by the
organisation to tabulate & pay the monthly commissions.

Recommendations:

1. In order to reduce the CT & distance, the payment document details can
be sent via email rather than by courier, this will save more than 2800
mins, the last process can be done by the AM as well.
2. Since the authorised signatory for the operations do not work from the
Head office, they need to be relocated to the Head office or authorise a
person from the head office to sign the documents – this too shall reduce
nearly 1300 hours of CT & distance from 100 + kms to a few meters.
