Pitch Script 31/03/22

Group Introduction
We are Propah Nice Productions, we are a Media Production Company, and we are making a short
horror film called Don’t Look Back.

Job Roles
I’m Kayley, and I’m the Camera Operator and Editor. The camera operator is responsible for operating
the camera during the shoot. This includes Locked off static shots as well as handheld shots with the use
of camera rigs. I am also the editor. The editor helps complete the director’s vision of the film. Their
creative choices are usually a combination of what they think is best and what the director wants for the
project.
I’m Hannah, I’m a Co-Producer and the Sound Operator. A Producer is responsible for overseeing all
steps of production. They’re often the individual who acquires the rights to produce the film, they make
sure schedules are being followed and they oversee the project being edited once filming has finished.
And a Sound operator is responsible to record the sound for the film. They also operate the boom
microphone, which is the microphone above the actors’ faces.
I’m Brodie, and I’m also a co-producer and a Co-Writer. A Writer is the person who writes the script for
this film. They do this either on an original idea, by adapting an existing story into a screenplay or joining
an existing project.
I’m Robbie, and I’m the assistant Camera and Sound Operator, I also film what’s going on behind the
scenes. Where I film what happens during the production of the film. And the assistant Camera and
sound operator is where I fill in for the camera and/or the sound operator when one of them are not
here.
And Sophie is the Director and a Co-Writer. The director is the creative leads of the film. they hold the
creative vision throughout the whole process. From the pre-production to the final edit. They’re
employed by the executive producer or the producer.

Short Film Idea and Theme

Group of teens having a party one of them suggests exploring an abandoned house and they all like walk
in together to explore the house but whilst their walking, they realized someone is following them. So,
they split apart, and the killer tries to kill them.

Similar Films
Similar Films and Shows include Euphoria which is about a group of high school students who struggle
with drugs, love, social media and money as they come of age. Another similar show is Riverdale which
is about 4 teenagers living in a town that has a very high crime rate. Horror films are also similar films as
it’s the genre of the film. Similar horrors include Scream and Fear Street which have killers in those films.

Target Audience
The Target audience is 17-24 as they make up most people who watch horror films. Though older
audiences Between 25 and 34 who make up 21%, 35 and 49 who make up 13% and 50 and older who
make up 10% would watch the film as well.
Short film Duration
The Duration of the Short film is 6-10 minutes but we’re aiming for 10 minutes for the short film

Unique Selling Point

Our USP Is our film is a mixture of Dramas like Euphoria where it relates to teenagers in gen z and
Horrors like Scream where there’s a murderer inside of the house trying to kill everyone.

Location Research
There are a few locations that we need to shoot at, we are shooting at an abandoned house in east
brent. Abandoned houses have some dangerous things inside of it like broken glass, trip hazards,
exposed utilities, objects falling, unguarded edges, maze like configurations, blocked or damaged stairs.

Actors
We have a small group of actors from knightstone campus that have agreed to act in the film.
