5. In the given figure, PQ and PR are two tangents to a circle with center O. If ∠QPR = 46∘ , then find ∠QOR.

6. The surface area of two spheres are in the ratio 16: 9. Find the ratios of their volumes.
OR

Volume and surface area of a solid hemisphere are numerically equal. What is the diameter of hemisphere?

SECTION B
7. The angle of elevation of an airplane from a point on the ground is 60∘ . After a flight of 30 seconds, the angle of
elevation become 30°. If the airplane is flying at a constant height of 3000√3 𝑚𝑚, find the speed of the airplane.
OR

The shadow of a flagstaff is three times as long as the shadow of the flagstaff when the Sun rays meet the
ground at an angle of 60∘ . Find the angle between the Sun rays and the ground at the time of longer shadow.

8. If the median of the following frequency distribution is 32.5. Find the values of 𝑓𝑓1 and 𝑓𝑓2.

9. Draw a pair of tangents to a circle of radius 4.5cm, which are inclined to each other at an angle of 45∘ .
10. Seven years ago Varun's age was five times the square of Swati's age. Three years hence, Swati's age will be two-
fifth of Varun's age. Find their present ages.

SECTION C
11. Vijay has rain water harvesting plant on his roof. After rain, all the water that is collected on the roof of
22 m × 20 m is drained into the cylindrical tank having diameter of base 2 m and height 3.5 m. It rained heavily
last night and in the morning the tank is just full.

circular cone mounted on a hemisphere. Find the radius of the hemisphere if the height of the cone is 3 times
the radius.
13. India is competitive manufacturing location due to the low cost of manpower and strong technical and
engineering capabilities contributing to higher quality production runs. The production of TV sets in a factory
increases uniformly by a fixed number every year. It produced 16000 sets in 6th year and 22600 in 9th year.
Based on the above information, answer the following questions:
(i) Find the production for first year.
(ii) In which year, the production is 29,200.
14. Prove that opposite sides of a quadrilateral circumscribing a circle subtend supplementary angles at the center
of the circle.
OR
A circle touches the side 𝐵𝐵𝐵𝐵 of a triangle 𝐴𝐴𝐴𝐴𝐴𝐴 at 𝑃𝑃 and touches 𝐴𝐴𝐴𝐴 and 𝐴𝐴𝐴𝐴 when produced at 𝑄𝑄 and 𝑅𝑅
1
respectively. Show that 𝐴𝐴𝐴𝐴 = (perimeter of triangle 𝐴𝐴𝐴𝐴𝐴𝐴 ).
