CAPSTONE PROJECT FORMAT

I. TITLE OF THE PROJECT

II. INTRODUCTION-
 The introduction explains why this project / study is important or
necessary.
 Begin by describing the problem or situation that motivates you to do this
project.
 Move to discussing the current state of study in the field; then reveal a
“gap” or problem in the field.
 Finally, explain how the present / new / modified / improved project of
yours is a solution to that problem or gap.

III. METHODOLOGY – (methods) What did you do?


 The methods section tells readers how you conducted your study. It
includes information about your population, sample, methods, and
equipment.
 In short, this is the detail information of your project. You may also include
here the expenses, when, where you got all the equipment you used.
 they are written in past tense.

IV. RESULTS – What did you find?


 In this section, you present your findings. Typically, the Results section
contains only the findings, not any explanation of or commentary on the
findings.
 Results sections are usually written in the past tense. Make sure all tables
and figures are labelled and numbered separately. Captions go above
pictures and tables (if any) and beneath figures.

V. DISCUSSION – What does it mean?


 In this section, you summarize your main findings, comment on those
findings, and connect them to other research. In connecting, find a similar
study or project that have a connection to your study, it can be in the past,
or perhaps in the future. 1 or 2 similar study will do.
 You also discuss limitations of your study, and use these limitations as
reasons to suggest additional, future research (if any).

VI. ABSTRACT – Summarize the entire study (500 words will do)
 The abstract for the report comes at the beginning of the paper, but you
should write it after you have drafted the full report.
 The abstract provides a very short overview of the entire paper, including
a sentence or two about the report’s purpose and importance, a sentence
or two about your methods, a few sentences that present the main
findings, and a sentence or two about the implications of your findings

Questions that student have to consider in making reflections for each item in the portfolio
follows.
· What did I learn from it?
· What did I do well?
· Why did I choose this project?
· What do I want to improve in my work?
· How do I feel about my performance?
· What were the problem areas or difficulties encountered?

IX. RESUME

Requirements:
1. These is written in Word document, short bondpaper, Times New Roman, font 11, single
space.
2. Printed (hard copy) copy of the project shall be submitted in school after the paper
presentation.
3. Make sure to submit the finish paper on May 3, 2021. There shall be an hourly deduction on
grades for late submission.
