1. Initiation
1.1 Business case

China-Pakistan Economic Corridor is a framework of regional connectivity. CPEC will


not only benefit China and Pakistan but will have a positive impact on Iran, Afghanistan,
Central Asian Republic, and the region. The enhancement of geographical linkages
having improved road, rail and air transportation system with frequent and free
exchanges of growth and people to people contact, enhancing understanding through
academic, cultural and regional knowledge and culture, activity of higher volume of flow
of trade and businesses, producing and moving energy to have more optimal businesses
and enhancement of corporation by win-win model will result in well connected,
integrated region of shared destiny, harmony and development.

China Pakistan Economic Corridor is a journey towards economic regionalization in the


globalized world. It founded peace, development, and a win-win model for all of them.

China Pakistan Economic Corridor is the hope of a better region in the future with peace,
development and growth of economy.

Business Need

The project was initiated to connect two of the world’s largest economies China was Europe, passing
through Central Asia. It will improve economic connectivity and cooperation between two-thirds of
the world’s population.

Out of Scope  To raise the profile of the Silk Road on the international stage, UNWTO
has been collaborating with a wide range of partners, both from the
public and private tourism sector.
 In recent years, different types of events have been organized – from
high-level ministerial meetings such as the 8th UNWTO International
Meeting on Silk Road Tourism in Thessaloniki and our annual Silk Road
events at ITB Berlin to capacity building workshops and Task Force
Meetings.
 Additionally, UNWTO has worked with important partners such as Pilot
Productions, BBC 4 and Discovery Channel UK.

1. As per guidelines given in IRC: 15-2002 the construction of pavement shall


follow this.
2. Standard specifications and code of practice for construction of concrete roads
3. For tools, equipment, and appliances contractor should follow IRC:43-1972.
Mix proportions for concrete shall be pre-determined on basis of strength as per guidelines given
in IRC:59-1976 and IRC:44-1972.
