I. OBJECTIVES:
At the end of 60 minutes, 90% of the learners are expected to:

A. Before the lesson

1. Setting the Mood


Preliminaries (Prayer, Checking of Attendance, Setting of class rules)

2. Motivation

- The teacher will ask the class on, “Why do you need to understand
health career pathways?” and facilitate the class for an interaction

- The teacher will explain to the class the significance and relation of the
startup activity to the lesson on Planning for a Health Career

- The teacher will facilitate a group activity (Health Career Pathway)
1. Students will be group into six
Group 1: Disease Prevention and Control/Personal
Healthcare
Group 2: Maternal and Child Care/Mental Healthcare
Group 3: Community Healthcare/ Environmental
Healthcare Management
Group 4: Drug Prevention and Control/Nutrition
Group 5: Health Education/Dental Health
Group 6: Occupational Safety/Emergency Medical

2. Each group will select a leader
3. The leaders will get their activity materials from the teacher
4. All groups will be given 5 minutes to discuss their assigned
career pathway
5. Each group will assign a secretary to write down the important
information in a manila paper
6. Every group will select one representative to prepare for a
presentation explaining the assigned health career pathway

- The teacher will facilitate the class for an interaction

- The teacher will elaborate and add information about the given task
to them on examples of health career pathways
