 Introduction

● Welcome to the GasterGaming staff team, as you have

been approved to join, you will have to take up various
responsibilities and duties that will impact both players and
the servers.

● As staff, we represent GG, hence at all times, we have to

display professionalism, have integrity and be willing to
assist players in need of help. Should any of these points
be broken by any staff regardless of status, they will be
removed from their staff position immediately.

● Do take the time to read through the rest of this document

and familiarise yourself with the procedures and rules that
are implemented in GG. Besides that, we thank you for
volunteering your time and effort to help improve GG
servers, so all the best in what you do and good luck!

 Staff Roles & Responsibilities

● Core Team
○ Handles all of the implementation of server updates,
all staff and basically everything
● Managers
○ Manages the various Plug-ins and folders of servers
● Senior Admin
○ Long time serving staff, guides and advices admins,
handles manpower in both SEA and IND
● Admin
○ Does in-game supervision of multiple servers, access
to all tickets
● Moderator
○ Does in-game supervision of only 1 server, access to
only selected tickets
● Trial Moderator
○ Does in-game supervision of only 1 server, under
heavy supervision by other staff to determine
suitability for keep staff position

 Promotions

● In GasterGaming, we have multiple roles in our staff team

for various responsibilities and powers. Regardless of role,
everyone will be treated equally, allowed to give their
opinion and not be outcast just because they hold lesser
responsibilities than the other.

● In view of that, anyone can be promoted from:

Trial-Mod→Moderator→Admin→Senior Admin→Manager

● Promotions are dependent on the person’s:

○ Ability to handle additional responsibilities
○ Leadership and mentoring skills
○ Ability to execute tasks efficiently and effectively
○ Overall qualities and capabilities

● Specifically for Trial-Mods, generally the time for probation

period will last 30 days, and senior admins will determine if
that Trial-Mod is suitable to keep their staff title or not.

 Rules (Players & Staff)

Should any rules below be broken by players, appropriate

punishments will be carried out (gag, mute, kick, ban),
recalcitrants will be dealt harsher punishments and longer
sentences.

NO HACKS/SCRIPTING OF ANY KIND ALLOWED, WILL

RESULT IN IMMEDIATE BAN OF SUITABLE DURATION

Voice/Text Chat:
1. Text Chat spam
- Sending multiple messages in a short time
- Multiple characters in a long chain message (e.g.
aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa)
2. Voice Chat spam
- Repeatedly using mic to say similar and unnecessary things
- Playing music w/o staff permission
- Mic volume too loud/Static mic
3. Player disrespect
- Insulting other players
- Toxicity in general
- Personal attacks
4. Admin disrespect
- Insulting staff with degrading terms
5. Racial & Religious Slurs
- Insulting or using racial/religious sensitive words
6. Links posted with malicious intent
- Posting of inappropriate/malicious links (promoting cheats,
pornographic, scam websites)
7. Self promotion or promotion of other servers

8. Player information
- Revealing personal information about another player (e.g.
names, address,mobile phone numbers, etc.)

Griefing:
1. Blocking
- Obstruction of pathway, preventing players from passing
- Blocking players from retreating into cover, with intent of
making them die
2. Utility griefing
- Throwing utility at teammates to irritate them
- Team flashing on purpose
- Shooting teammates to reveal their position
- Throwing bomb to enemy
3. Delaying of round
- Dragging out round time by hiding/camping for a prolonged
time (aka. saving when last alive)
- Changing skins and stickers, resulting in afk & round delay

Miscellaneous:
1. AFK
- AFK in the round
2. Ghosting
- Revealing teammates/enemies position while in spectator or
as their teammate
3. !calladmin abuse
- Repeatedly using !calladmin for unnecessary uses

4. Impersonation of staff
- Impersonation of any staff in GasterGaming is prohibited and
will be dealt with severely

 List of commands

Mute: Mutes a player, preventing the player from using their mic
Gag: Gags a player, preventing the player from using the chat
Silence: Applies both mute and gag on the player

Unmute: Removes the mute that was applied on the player

Ungag: Removes the gag that was applied on the player
Unsilence: Removes the silence that was applied on the player

Kick: Kicks the player from the server

Ban: Bans the player from the server

Vote: Casts a vote in-game with multiple choices & a question

Cancelvote: Cancels the current vote that is on going

Msay: Brings up a message on the left side of the screen

Psay: Privately messages a player

Stealth: Allow yourself to turn invisible to any players in the

server (makes observing potential hackers/abusers more easy)

 Chat Method

● For the chat method, there are two ways in which

commands can be executed.
● First way is to use “!” before the command itself, which
allows players currently in the server to see the command
executed by you in the chat. E.g. !mute
● The second way is to use “/” before the command, which
executes the command silently, which no one can see.
● General format: (no need to include “” when typing
commands)
○ !mute “name/#userID” “duration” “reason”
○ /ban “name/#userID” “duration” “reason”

○ obtain #userID by typing “status” in console ^^

● Always provide the reason for the punishment, and collect
evidence before banning.\
● IMPORTANT! Should any staff member be caught abusing
their powers in-game, it will result in an immediate demod
and removal from the GG staff team.

 Admin-Menu Method

● For the Admin-Menu method, just type either !admin or

/admin to bring up the admin-menu in-game.

● Player Commands – This is where you get to execute

actions on players, such as kick, ban and others.
● Server Commands – This is where you get to use
commands regarding the server such as map, setnextmap
and others.
● Voting Commands – This is where you get to perform
certain votes such as voteban, votekick and others.
● Comm Commands – This is the area where you get to
mute, gag and silence players.

 Banning Procedures

In the event that circumstances are such that a player is

required to be banned, there are steps that moderators
and admins must follow to ensure that the ban is justified
and correct.

1. If you find someone suspicious, the first thing you must

immediately do is to get evidence and take down his
steam profile link. (Use any software to record, e.g. OBS,

Bandicam, NVIDIA ShadowPlay, or worse comes to worst,
your phone .
2. If you are unsure whether the player is legitimate or not,
just share the evidence you have gathered with other staff
members, and we will gladly assist you. (Don't worry about
letting him “escape the server”, because we have
sourcebans to ban out of server)
3. If you are absolutely sure that the player is hacking, still
record evidence and proceed to ban the player with the
appropriate duration. (If it is a perma ban, put “0” in the
duration section)
4. In the case that the player appeals for unban in the
discord, we can produce the evidence to refute his claim
and he will remain banned.

 Discord Behaviour

● In GasterGaming, we use discord as our “forums”. Hence

almost all communication channels with our playerbase
will be through there.
● Reports, Support, Announcements, Applications and
Information will be handled by us staff members to help
our players should they need it.
● Therefore, as staff members we need to assist any players
in need, remain professional at all times and not cause
any unnecessary controversy and trouble.

● We also have a seperate GG staff discord server to

handle internal server issues, or to discuss any problems
in and outside of the servers.

 Ticketing System

As our support system is also in discord, we have a ticketing

system to allow players to request for help, submit applications,
appeal for unban/unmute or VIP purchases.

Generally tickets can only be seen by Admins or higher, with

the exception of Staff applications. Before closing a ticket,
make sure that you ask the player if they have any further
queries that they want to ask.

For unban/unmute appeals, regardless of what that player has

committed in the server, do not criticise their actions, and
instead just ask for their reasons and appeals.

Staff Applications
● When someone applies for staff in a particular server, the
moderators from that respective server will be allowed to
see the application and give their own personal feedback.
● When giving feedback, do not insult or show any personal
grudges towards that player. Just be professional and
state whether that person is suited for staff and the
reasons why.
● Only senior admins and above can accept or deny the
applications.
