This short film is about waking up from death and entering the

last 7 minutes of consciousness of the afterlife, reflecting

the good the bad and the ugly times of day to day life.

INT. STRANGE ROOM- DAY

We get a POV shot of the boy moving his head around waking up
into the afterlife.
HARLY
Well this is it now. I’m dead everything’s finished.
All this things I’ve laughed and cried at and all that I’ve
dreamed of. Gone, gone forever. Never, ever again.

Fade out into white:

INT. HOUSE-DAY MEDIUM SHOT.
Harly walks down stairs then walks into the kitchen dosses
around nearly making music with his fingers tapping on the
kitchen work before opening the fridge realising there’s
nothing he wants to eat for breakfast and then flops on the
sofa hopelessly.
He then turns the TV on and starts to binge watch a programme.
Harly: (V.O)
Harly, look you have to get up and do something now cos just
sitting here isn’t doing anything to help you in any way what
so ever. Like come on it’s a nice day go and play football,
because say that you’re the best but nothing to it cos you
don’t put in the effort.
He then picks himself up walks to the porch near the front
door.
Then he picks then up and walks back through the house to the
back door to go outside.
EXT. GARDEN-DAY
By the use of a close-up shot Harly looks out onto the garden
ready to have a kick around by himself to feels positive and
start the day.
Jogging down to the grass the starts to dribble with the ball
and enters his own world.
Harly:
 (Out of no where.)
Ronaldo!
MONOLOUGE: Harly shush you’re not Ronaldo, but now see how
many kick ups you can do.
He walks to the goal net to retrieve his ball out of the net
goes to his favourite spot under the tree and not to close to
the fence and starts to do kick ups with the hidden hope he
doesn’t kick the ball over by accident.
Harly
(counting in his head)
One, two, three, four, five.
Augh.
After losing control the ball Harly tries again to try and
beat his previous score.
Harly:
Right Harly if you don’t get more then 20 you won’t have a
good day today and wont even make it to semi-professional
standard.
A wave of concentration took Harly by storm and tried harder
than ever to get to that goal of 20 kick ups.
Medium close up is used to show the relief on his face.
He walks towards the back door takes his shoes off and leaves
them outside before walking back inside.
INT. BACK IN THE HOUSE-DAY
As Harly walks back inside he picks up is phone and puts on
his headphones and walks into the bathroom.
We then get a MEDIUM SHOT of his reflection in the mirror of
him cleaning his teeth, doing his hair and getting prepared
for the day.
MUSIC PLAYING IN THE BACKGROUND. MUSIC NAME-

Harly
 (starts to whistle to the music paying through the
headphones.)
After he is done he runs upstairs to get his school bag
rapidly runs back down them about to open the front door but
realised that the door needed to be opened with the key.
Harly
Oh for god sake, man really.
I’ve had all day and I only decide to unlock the door now.
Melon.
The frustration past Harly fairly quickly and manages to get
out the door stress free.
EXT. OUTSIDE THE HOUSE- DAY
Once the door is locked Harly then presses down on the handle
to make sure that’s its locked then walks to the bus stop.
Harly
Did I shut the door?
Yes Harly you shut the door cos If you didn’t you would of
known about it before you had even got this far, so now stop.
He now wats for the bus to arrive while listening to his
music.
The bus arrives and Harly pays for this ticket and by the use
of a MEDIUM LONG SHOT shows him sitting on the seat waiting to
get to collage.
A time laps is used to show the progression of him journey to
collage. He looks out the window to embrace the scenery and
changes his music changes depending on his mood at the time.
EXT. HENLEY TOWN CENTER. DAY
Harly starts walking to collage.

MUSIC STARTS TO FADE.

He enters the collage and walks into his classroom casually.
Harly.
Hello.
Harly then goes to choose a place to sit knowing that he has
to catch up on some work.
 Harly ( V.O )
Right Harly you actually have to do some work done today, like
you know, you say you want this and become successful and
whatever, but no. All you do is work a bit then take like a
ten minute break. So now do your work.
He puts his headphones on and starts to listen to his music
then fades to a high pitch ringing and then fades to white.
EXT. OUTSIDETHE CLASSROOM AT HENLEY COLLAGE- DAY.
CHARLIE.
Where is Harly?
Everyone looks around looking to see where he is.
They start to walk down to the football fields to play
football.
EXT. FOOTBALL FIELDS- DAY.
When they get to the fields Harly takes the ball and starts
doing kick ups while the others are still getting ready.
After everyone is ready Harly steps in to suggest what they
should play first.
Harly
Can we do penalties?
THE GROUP
Sure come on then.
Harly (V.O)
Today is actually a good day nothing has gone wrong.
Harly is first to take the penalty and everyone watches.
He scores and appears to be happy and pleased that he scored.
Everyone has appears to have a good time.

FADES TO WHITE.
INT. BACK IN THE HOUSE -DAY
Harly walks through the front door after a long day.
Harly
Hello I’m home.
MOTHER
Hi love, did you have a good day?
Harly
Yeh.
Harly walks up the stars to rewind and relax for a whole
before dinner.
Mother
Harly its ready!
He comes down for dinner after being called by his mother even
though dinner isn’t even ready.
Harly (V.O)
Well it isn’t ready is it, god sake. This is probably the only
thing I won’t miss now I’m dead.
He sits there waiting in starvation after being misled by his
mother on the dinner times.
After a while waiting he goes to the kitchen and waits until
its ready to collect. After he goes back to his seat and
finally eats his dinner.
CAMERA FADES.
INT. BEDROOM-DAY.
Once Harly has finished his dinner he is in his bedroom
playing the guitar.
Trying to learn a new song while watching a YouTube tutorial
on how to play it.
He is playing it fine until he finds something challenging and
starts to get really frustrated.
Harly
Fuck sake I can’t do this like what does this even mean.
He looks the neck of the guitar to find where his fingers are
supposed to be.
 Harly
I really need to get lessons it’s becoming a joke now.

His puts the guitar back on the stand and then launches
himself onto his bed.

Harly ( V.O )
I’ve spent one-hundred pounds on a guitar that I said that I
would practice everyday, but oh no you decide to play
PlayStation or just waste time doing nothing. You have missed
you’re chance again Harly well done you missed another
opportunity to learn something new. If I was you id just stop
keep learning well at collage cos at least you do well in
that.

FADE OUT TO BLACK.

EXT. OUTSIDE THE HOUSE- DUSK

He puts on his headphones and then goes for the walk to clear
his head.

Music plays music name-

MUSIC FADES.

Harly (v.o)
Look at the end of the day Harly you still have loads of time
so don’t start beating you’re self-up over it I mean you are
doing well as you are self-teaching you’re self but maybe try
and ask about for lesions.

Music continues
Get some scenery shots while the music is playing to set a
mood to the audience, while showing progression of his walk.
As he nears the walk home he somehow trips over the thick
patch of flowers.
INT. BACK IN THE HOUSE- NIGHT.

The room is lit with his desk lamp and goes on his PlayStation
to see if anyone is Online but finds out that no one is
actually online.
Harly (v.o)
Well at least if no one is online I can just relax on my own
for a bit I enjoyed that but boy did some games really piss me
off.
He starts playing his games but suddenly bursts into rage.

Harly
Oh for god sake, its happened again it’s the same shit every
fucking time.
(he slams the desk in anger while being this angry)
Harly
Dear, lord please give me the power and strength to keep
myself going for my goals hopes and dreams and make me have a
good da for tomorrow and forever.
Amen.

Fades to black.
A high pitch ringing starts then fades.
