Etiquette?
SOCIAL ETIQUETTE IS EXACTLY HOW IT SOUNDS,
IT REFERS TO THE BEHAVIOR YOU RESORT TO IN
SOCIAL SITUATIONS—INTERACTIONS WITH YOUR
FAMILY, FRIENDS, COWORKERS OR STRANGERS.

WE’RE EXPECTED TO FOLLOW SOCIAL NORMS IN

ORDER TO COEXIST AND LIVE IN HARMONY.

Do Ask
Questions
Of course, just be careful with the
questions you ask

Being a good listener is good; actively

discussing another person's life really goes
the extra mile towards showing your interest
in their world.

Do Dress to
Impress
the effort you place into dressing
yourself will have an impact on
others' opinion of you

do your best to don clothes that look good,

are washed, and blend well. Get your shirt
and shoes to match hues, avoid contrasting
bright colors, and so on.

Do arrive early
It's all about being punctual

Arriving early actually gives you time back in

your day. You will more than recoup the ten
minutes you arrive early in the productivity
you gain by being able to catch up and
prepare.

Do be willing to
help
Helping others and empathy help one
to bond with and develop a socially
supportive group

Make sure to prepare required materials as it

will be easier for you to follow along in class.
Everyone will be given ample time and
reminders to prepare.

Do be flexible
To be flexible means to be willing to
adapt to change. Being flexible in
your work requires that you keep an
open mind

As long as you have a flexible attitude, you

will have no problem accepting the different
changes that each new day brings.

The Don'ts

Don't interrupt

No one wants that—wait your turn

Anyone worth talking to will give you plenty

of chances to sprinkle in your own remarks
throughout the encounter.

Don't Lie
Or at least be very careful with it

Remember, good intentions don't necessarily

equal a good outcome.

Don't
Gossip
If you gossip, people assume you talk
about them too when they're not
around

Gossip drags a relationship through the mud,

soiling it and debasing it. Gossip destroys
trust and kills relationships.

Don't be afraid to
take up new tasks
Dont run away from them

There is always something good in new

experiences, changes and challenges. They put
you out of your comfort zone.

Don't put your

hands in your
pocket
unless you're hiding something

This invariably sends a negative message.

You may be simply uncomfortable or nervous.
But to your audience you probably look at
best - too casual or maybe fidgety, at worst -
cocky, or disrespectful.
