10.2 Among the words that I’ve chosen, the one which makes me associate with a street
child is illiteracy. Nowadays, some children on the street are blind about the education, the
literacy that they should be needed because they are busy on doing things for their living
and survival every day. They lack of knowledge that why many people take advantage of
them and may suffer violence due to being illiterate. Many street-connected children are
harmed on a daily basis by adults, including government officials and the police, other
children, and even their own families. They are also denied access to education and
healthcare, which is their right. If national laws criminalize begging or loitering, they can
face jail just for trying to survive.
