Joint patrolling of 220kv Dehri-Gaya(PG) transmission line was conducted on 11.30.22 and 12.03.2022 by LMD
Dehri and surveyor team for measuring the Ground clearance of B- Phase conductor (ckt-1 & ckt-2) by Total station
equipment at different suspicious locations.

Some important points about above mentioned line

1. Tie line as it connects 220kv Dos –Pusauli (PG) with 220 KV DOS –Gaya (PG)
2. Total length of this line is approx 95KM up to PG Gaya.
3. Total no of towers in this line is 287.
4. Line was constructed in year 1975.
During joint patrolling conducted following observations were made—
(a) Tripping of this line increasing comparatively every year particular in summer season.
(b) Span length of this line is bit abnormal due to presence of normal size of towers.
(c) Clearance of bottom conductor w.r.t. ground is very less in every span except at special towers.
(d) Many 11 KV & 33KV lines have been constructed in recent past as a result of which clearance
between bottom conductors and 11KV & 33KV lines has reduced resulting in tripping despite
lowering the 11KV & 33 KV conductors.
(e) Roads are being elevated at many places which is also reducing the ground clearance.
(f) New height raised towers are require for sufficient clearance at many road, canal , crossing ( list
enclosed with photographs).
Remarks :- Reconductoring and height raising of below mentioned towers of 220 KV Dehri-Gaya (PG) is urgently
required for reducing the trippings and to prevent any fatal accident.

surveyor team for measuring the Ground clearance of B-Y- Phase of conductor by Total station equipment at
different suspicious locations.
Some important points about above mentioned line

1. Tie line as it connects 220kv Dos –Pusauli (PG) with 220 KV DOS –Gaya (PG)
2. Total length of this line is approx 54 KM up to LILO.
3. Total no of towers in this line is 169.
4. Tower under the jurisdiction under transmission circle Dehri. Location no. 1 to Location no 169 (LILO)
5. Line was constructed in year 1983.
During joint patrolling conducted following observations were made—
(a) Span length of this line is bit abnormal due to presence of normal size of towers.
(b) Clearance of bottom conductor w.r.t. ground is very less in every span except at special towers.
