The bar chart shows number of male and female (separately) who took part in the Olympics

from 1924 to 2012. At the same time, graph illustrates total number of participants in the
Olympics each year over this period.

Generally speaking, the number of participants (male and female) both in the Olympics
significantly increased. However, number of men who took part in Olympics during this period
was substantial bigger than women.

Looking at the bar chart it is easy to see that number of male participants was 3000 in 1924 and
it was gradually rosed to approximately 5900 by 2012. Also, the number of women who took
part in Olympics was 30 times less than males at the beginning with sharp increase from 1984
to 2012. In the end of period number of female participants was around 4800.

The graph shows us that total number of participants was steadily increased from around 3000
up to 10 000 over the period.
