    There are three types of heater bands that are use in injection molding to melt the raw
    material.
    1. Mica Band
    2. Ceramic Band
    3. MI Band

    Mica band
    This type of band provide good thermal conductivity. Mica band is made by the insulating a nickel
    chromium ribbon wire. The temperature limit of Mica band is upto 900F.

    Advantages
    1. High watt densities capabilities.
    2. Excellent efficiency.
    3. Long lifetime.
    4. Low cost.
