▪ Duplicate View: To place the dimensions, tags or legends we need to create copies of the view.
✓ Select the view in project browser >> Right click > Select Duplicate >> Select the required option
Duplicate/Duplicate with detailing or select the view
OR
✓ Go to View tab >> Create panel >> Duplicate view >>Select the required option Duplicate/Duplicate
with detailing or select the view
▪ Duplicate with detailing: Copies the annotation elements with model elements like dimensions, text,
detail elements, etc.
▪ Dimensions:
✓ Annotate tab >> Dimension Panel >> Select the required dimension tool
1. Aligned Dimension(DI):
✓ Click on this command >> specify the references i.e. the reference planes, or faces of the objects
✓ Place the dimensions >> Place continuous dimensions by clicking on the references as needed.
2. Linear Dimension: places horizontal or vertical dimension between the reference points.
✓ Select the tool> specify the reference points > place the dimensions
3. Angular Dimensions: - Places the dimension that measures angles between references.
✓ Click on this command >> specify references to measure the angle >> Place the dimension
4. Radial / Diameter Dimensions: - Places the dimensions for curves, circles, arcs or fillets. -
✓ Click on this command >> specify the references in the option bar as needed >> select the object >> place
the dimension
5. Arc Length: - Places the dimension that measures the length of curved wall or any other element. -
✓ Click on this command >> specify the reference arc >> specify the start point of the arc >> specify the
endpoint of the arc >> place the dimension

7. Spot Coordinate: - Displays the North/South and East/West coordinates of the selected reference
point.
8. Spot Slope: - Displays the slope on the face or an edge of the selected element.
✓ Click on this command >>Specify slope representation in option bar >> Go to properties >> Edit Type>>
Change Unit Format as required >> Ok
✓ Select the reference and place the slope
