RULES FOR ‘I AM A TEACHER’

COMPETITION 2022

Be a teacher for a day and bring out the expertise in your

favorite topic and explain it to the audience

1. The competition is open for students of class I-XII from SFS.

2. The competition will accept only solo submissions from students.
3. The individuals should register themselves in the Desalite Connect first and then
upload their video through this google form -
4. Participants will take up any one topic from the following subjects (Science, Math,
Social Studies, English) and will record his/her teaching and upload the same in
the google form link that has been shared.

Details of video recording:

 Each video should have: Full name of Participant, Class, Name of the topic and
subject and Roll Number.
 The video must be recorded indoors only, in front of a plain wall with proper
lighting.
 Must be away from noise/disturbances.
 Participant must face the camera during the performance. Position the camera
accordingly or take help to shoot the video.
 Keep the camera still and at eye level.
 Video should be recorded in portrait mode only (vertical).
 The video should be sent in 720p or a low quality mode. The video settings option
can be adjusted for the purpose while recording, to reduce the upload size of the
video.
 Participants should be clearly visible in the video.
 Camera should not be placed more than 4-6 feet away from the participants.

Recording Duration:

 Video should not exceed 12 minutes of recording time.

Participants will be assessed on the basis of the following five parameters, the total of
which is 50 points.

 Organization of content and Clarity of thinking (10)

 Usage of examples and relevant situations (10)
  Presentation, gestures and expressions (10)
 Vocabulary and Diction (10)
 Validation of the explanation with the topic (10)

Important guidelines:

 Use of script or reading while recording will lead to disqualification.

 Decision of the evaluators will be final and binding.
 All participants should record in their speeches/videos in their school uniforms
respectively.

Students will be evaluated category wise as follows:

CATEGORY 1 (Class 1 and 2)

CATEGORY 2 (Class 3, 4 and 5)
CATEGORY 3 (Class 6, 7 and 8)
CATEGORY 4 (Class 9, 10, 11 and 12)

Winners from each category will be featured in SFS Guwahati’s official social media
handle and will receive physical certificates.

All participants will receive e-certificates.
