23.1. INTRODUCTION
The purpose of this report is to provide general technical design for Protection Barrier for
Pedestrian Bridge
This report will provide a typical calculations for the most disadvantageous case of the protection
barrier Structure.
This design covers Protection Barrier structure on main steel Footbridges, Main Concrete
Footbridges , new staircase at Improvement Footbridges
This report presents all design of structures concerning as described above.

23.2. GENERAL
Reference documents

The design standard defining the loads to be considered and the combinations to be applied is the
Vietnamese standard TCVN 11823-2017.

Material specification
Concrete

Material:
Unit weight of reinforcement concrete: c = 25 KN/ m3
Concrete strength: f’c = 35 Mpa.
Elastic modulus of concrete: Ec = 34346 Mpa.

Reinforcement

Yield strength of Reinforcement: Fy = 420 Mpa.

Elastic modulus of reinforcement: Es = 200000 Mpa.
