ACTIVITY 3 – YOUR TURN
1. MONOCHROMATIC - There are four components to a monochromatic color scheme: hue; tone;
shade; and tint
2. ANALOG Analogous colors means the color grouping has similarities. These color scheme types
have close relationships to one another. LIKE Yellow, yellow-green, green
3. COMPLEMENTARY - The three traditional sets of complementary colors, as derived from the
Red-Yellow-Blue color model, are red and green, yellow and purple, and orange and blue. You
can see them positioned opposite one another on the color wheel above
4. SPLIT-COMPLEMENTARY - This is a variation of the complementary color scheme. LIKE, Red +
Blue-Green + Yellow-Gree
5. TRIADIC - A triadic color scheme is comprised of three colors evenly spaced on the color wheel.
The two most basic triadic palettes are the primary colors red, blue, and yellow, and the
secondary hues orange, purple, and green
To perceive like an artist, you must first understand the visual aspects of art. Instead of seeing an object
as what it symbolizes, you'll learn to perceive it as a collection of diverse visual aspects. If you don't
learn to see the world through the eyes of the visual elements, you'll find it difficult to let go of
preconceived notions about what items should look like. This may have an impact on your art, typically
not in a positive way. For example, most of us have an idealistic conception of what a tree should look
like. When I think of a tree, I see lush green leaves and a vibrant color palette.
ADDITIONAL ACTIVITY
I noticed that through this activity I develop some basic skills and I will apply it to myself for better
learning.

5. LANDSCAPED
Paintings are best made when the artist is motivated and his excellent imagination allows him to come
up with amazing ideas.
As a result, having a perfect painting requires perfect composition, texture, color, subject, and paint
value. At the end of the day, what makes a painting successful is that the compositions, colors, and
subject matter all work together to deliver a unified and well-executed artwork that is pleasing to the
viewer.
To make a painting successful, there are a few key characteristics that must be included.
