ABSTRACT
The purpose of this study was to investigate the assessment of the impact of modern
technological equipment on the development of Office Technology and Management
Programme. The study consists of four research questions. The design of the study is
a survey design. The population consisted of 63 students from the department of
office Technology and management in Delta State Polytechnic, Ozoro. The major
findings of the study were that modern technological equipment can help to enhance
office technology and management programme, it is also revealed that inconsistency
8
in operation and use of modern equipment can hinder proper learning by students. It
was concluded that there is high impact of modern technological equipment since
these equipment are inevitable in the programme. It is recommended that proper
maintenance of the equipment available should be made regularly.

RESEARCH QUESTIONS
In other to carry out this research work properly, the following questions are raised:
1. Are there adequate modern facilities required for teaching in the programme?

This research work is restricted to Delta State Polytechnic Ozoro. The modern
equipment will be highlighted in the course of the study. The choice of the institution

The programme is one that requires the use of standard equipment and laboratories to
enable students to acquire useful skills that will help them cope with the changing
programme since the uses of this equipment are inevitable in the programme.
RECOMMENDATIONS
Based on the findings of this study and conclusion, the following recommendations
are made.
2. The ministry of education both at the federal and state levels should review the
school curriculum to include courses which will enable students acquire the
knowledge and skills needed to operate modern equipment when they leave the
institution.
3. The institution should ensure that there is regular power supply in the laboratories
available in the institution for learning the programme this will increase
proficiency.
