Related Studies
What is Related Studies?
 A research work,
 Published and unpublished research studies are sources of materials that are already
conducted to which the present proposed study is relate or has some bearing or
similarities. The research studies which have direct bearing to the present study are
segregated into foreign and local studies.
 It is about reviewing or studying existing works, carried out in a project/ a research work.
They may be classified as:
1. Local,
 This are the studies or investigations that already completed to which the present study is
related. They are usually unpublished material such as manuscripts, these and
dissertations conducted in the Philippines and other research publication; and
2. Foreign,
 These manuscripts, researches and dissertations conducted in foreign lands.
Purpose
 It allows readers and reviewers to check whether the author’s finding confirm or contradict
previous work.
Importance
 Related studies offer the need to be included to justify the novelty of your research work.

Here your related studies need to provide


 What’s problem in existing in selected domain?
 What are the methods developed or adopted?
 Which technique exhibit excellent outcome and effective?
