Introduction to the course:

This course deals with essentials of business intelligence and visual analytics to create business
value, specifically by leveraging the power of data visualization to communicate business-
relevant implications of data analyses. Students are taught business intelligence, data
warehousing and database schemas. In particular, creating and designing visualizations and
dashboards in context of business problems will be taught. In addition, the students will be able
to assess the quality of the data and perform exploratory analysis and create different
visualizations possible in tool Tableau

Preamble

A good visualization helps in garnering insights about Organizational performance. Managerial


decisions are a result of properly designed and delivered information which are actionable as
knowledge items. In this context, the student is required to read the article titled “Visualizations
that really work” by Scott Berinato, Harvard Business Review, June 2016

Your answer should address the following:

A.1 Discuss the design of your Visualization and relate it to the HBR article

A.2 Develop your Visualization in Tableau and document the functionality
