1.WHAT IS CLOUD?

--cloud is the collection of data centers which are geographically scattered all
over the world
--every data center consist of several servers which are mounted on racks
--we can access cloud services from any where any time but need internet connection
--virtualization is the main technology behind cloud computing

2.WHAT IS CLOUD COMPUTING?

--Cloud computing provides the on-demand IT resources over the Internet
--it works pay-as-you-go model.
--it provides technology service like
i)computing,
ii)storage,
iii)databases,
iv)servers,
v)networking ,
vi)software etc.
--no need to maintain own infrastructure for providing those services

3.WHO ARE THE CLOUD SERVICE PROVIDERS?

--there are several organizations provide cloud services
i)Amazon-AWS(amazon web service)
ii)Microsoft-AZURE
iii)Google-GCP(google cloud platform)
iv)IBM Cloud Services
v)ServerSpace
vi)Adobe Creative Cloud
vii)Kamatera
viii)VMware
ix)Rackspace
x)Red Hat
xi)Salesforce
xii)Oracle Cloud
xiv)Verizon Cloud
xv)Navisite
xvi)Dropbox

and many more

4.WHAT ARE THE CLOUD DEPLOYMENT MODELS?
--there are mainly 3 deployment models are there
i)private cloud
ii)public cloud
iii)hybrid cloud

i)private cloud
--It is a cloud-based infrastructure used by single organization
--in this deployment model resources are deployed on-premises,
--virtualization and resource management tools are used
--it can not provide several benefits of public cloud computing but provides the
dedicated resources.
--Private clouds are suitable for those organizations who need high security, high
management demands,and high availability requirements.

ii)public cloud
--A public cloud is a type of computing in which a service provider provides the
resources to the public via the internet.
--the services are provided by the third party service providers
--Customers have no control over the location of the infrastructure.
--In the Public cloud, the same storage is used by multiple users at the same time.

iii)hybrid cloud
--this is the combination of private and public cloud
--A hybrid cloud is ideal for scalability, flexibility, and security.
--An organization can store sensitive data on a private cloud or local data center
and non-critical data can be saved in public cloud
--The main aim to combine Public and Private is to create a unified, automated, and
well-managed computing environment.
--Mainly, a hybrid cloud is used in finance, healthcare, and Universities.
--The best hybrid cloud provider companies are Amazon, Microsoft, Google, Cisco,
and NetApp.

5.WHAT ARE THE TYPES OF CLOUD SERVICE MODELS?

--basicallly cloud service models are 3 types
i)SaaS(software as a service)
ii)IaaS(infrastructure as a service)
iii)PaaS(platform as a service)

i)SaaS
--SaaS stands for software as a service
--SaaS is known as 'On-Demand Software'.
--It is a software distribution model
--In SaaS, data and software are hosted on a central cloud server and User can
access SaaS by using a web browser.
--These applications run on the cloud and we can use them by a paid licensed
subscription or for free trial with limited access.
--Some known examples of SaaS include Google G Suite, Microsoft Office 365,
Dropbox, etc.

ii)IaaS
--IaaS stands for infrastructure as a service
--IaaS delivers a cloud computing infrastructure service like
a)server,
b)storage,
c)network
d)operating system.
--The customers can access these resources over Internet as an on-demand service.
--In IaaS, we can buy complete resources rather than purchasing server, software,
datacenter space or network equipment.
--IaaS was earlier called as Hardware as a Service(HaaS).

iii)PaaS
--PaaS stands for platform as a service
--paaS is a programming platform for developers.
--This platform is generated for the programmers to create, test, run and manage
the applications.
--A developer can easily write the application and deploy it directly into PaaS
layer.
--PaaS gives the runtime environment for application development and deployment
tools.
--Google Apps Engine(GAE), Windows Azure, SalesForce.com are the examples of PaaS.
