What is Cheer dance?
Cheer dance is a term that combines the words cheer and dance. To cheer is to yell
words or phrases that can help a team's morale and performance during a game.
Cheerdancing developed from cheerleading, which is the performance of a routine
characterized by gymnastic skills such as jumps, tumbling skills, lifts and tosses
combined with cheers and yells to lead the crowd to cheer for a specific team during a
game or sports activity. It began in the United States in the mid 1800s.
