Making Literature: Short Story

Write a short story about a topic of your choice. Any topic is acceptable. But it must be
different from the topic that you've used before. Create a new Google document to write
your story in.

Use the checklist below to help you with how you will go about finishing your project. This
will serve as your outline, too, so answer the questions in complete sentences.

Going Through The Writing Process Done?

MAIN MESSAGE. What is the central idea that you would like to express to
your readers through this short story?

The message of this story is to express the love of animals even if they're
not like us. Also we should care about different animals.

CHARACTERS. Who will they be? What are they like? Will each of the
characters you've identified be needed for the progression of the plot? Or
are some of the characters unnecessary?

There are two main characters which are Cooper a dog, and Aiden, his
owner and his 8 year old kid and a doctor which they changed their lives.

SETTING. Where does the story take place? When does it take place? Is
this setting necessary for the story? Why does it have to happen at this
place and at this point in time?

The place it will happen is on the road or outside in their house. This is
where the conflict or the problem occur.

MAIN CONFLICT OR PROBLEM. What problem will the main character


face? How does this problem/conflict express the main message of your
short story?

The dog which is Cooper will save Aiden from the car and he will sacrifice
himself. That we should also take care of anyone not just us.

RESOLUTION. How will the problem/conflict be resolved? Which


characters will have to change or do something so that the resolution can
come about? Will external factors come into play for the resolution to
happen?

Cooper will be saved by a doctor after the scene where Aiden was saved.

Also Aiden did everything to save his dog even though he has nothing left.

FLOW OR OUTLINE OF THE STORY. What is the flow of events/scenes in


your story? Does each scene contribute to the main message/main point
of the story? Are there unnecessary scenes?

Aiden is poor and always scavenge at night to get some food and he saw
a dog and he adopted it. They’re having fun and they lived for a long
time together. One day Aiden was about to get hit by a car, Cooper
jumped and pushed him.
