INSTRUCTION GUIDE
• The brochure is inspection criteria for YM's
containers. Please apply the inspection
criteria on YM's containers.
• The brochure is classified by components.
Each chapter includes the inspection criteria,
measure method, and examples for each
component.

EIR Inspection Process- Gate in/out
• Gate out: Trucker pick up the container and
check the condition with field inspectors during
the gate. EIR (Equipment Interchange &
Inspection Report) should be signed by both
parties and if any damage was found, mark
should be made on the out-gate EIR.
• Gate in: Trucker return the container and check
the condition with inspectors during the gate.
EIR should be signed by both parties and if any
damage was found, mark should be made on
the in-gate EIR.

ACEP(Approved Continuous Examination Program)
• According to the regulation of the International Convention
For Safe Containers(CSC), after a new container reaches 5
years usage, and every 30 months after the first 5 years, is
required to apply a new certificate issue by the institution
appointed by CSC member country. CSC however, agree to let
container owner who have good maintenance record and
approved by CSC member country to seldom carry out the
container safety checking progress since 1984, and this
inspection method is so call ACEP (Approved Continuous
Examination Program).
• CSC member country had approved YM can inspect own
container and leasing container since November 1985.
Approve number is ACEP/FR/020.

6
Inspection of CSC plate
• Depot/Terminal have to check if the CSC plate on each
container was expired or not. If it was expired, a container
inspection should be performed and a YM ACEP sticker
should be stuck.

for the additional service are recovered from
the customers in the freight charged.
• The upgrade repair should only applied on
containers with relatively good condition,
which are upgradeable and within the
budget that we set up for upgrade repair in
