Establish Solid Waste Management Goals
(What are the general and specific objectives
you want to achieve in implementing solid

1. What realizations did you have while doing this activity?
I realized that preservation of our natural resources and our planet should be the top priority of each of
us. As mentioned, we only have one planet, and if earth dies, we also goes with it. Above all things, like
capitalism and technology advancement, the thing we should focus on is how can we switch to
alternative sources of energy and alternative resources that has less impact on earth. We should also
preserve the biodiversity of different species from land and water.
2. What do you think is the importance of solid waste management to our environment?
Solid waste management can help us with the preservation of our planet's biodiversity. Pollution is on
top of the hard to combat problem in our world, which further degrades the already miserable state of
our environment. Problematic waste management cause pollution to our air, soil, and bodies of water
which can further lead to drastic decline in sustainability of natural resources like food and water. This
shows how important solid waste management, and every city should establish and a well planned flow
on how to properly handle solid waste in their vicinity.

3. Are there some other activities that you can do at home, which promotes the preservation,
promotion, and protection of our environment? Can you list down and briefly describe these
activities?
-If possible, switch to a more sustainable form of energy like solar panels so that you can have
less carbon footprint on your energy source.
-Use reusable materials like eco-bags instead of single-use plastic bags in order to lessen your
solid-waste generation.
