Explanation Essay about Covid-19 Virus

The Wikipedia said that “a virus is a submicroscopic infectious agent that replicates only inside
the living cells of an organism”. These viruses infect all types of life forms like animals, plants and as well
as microorganism including bacteria and archaea. These viruses are to be found in almost every
ecosystem on Earth and are the most numerous type of biological entity. Virology is what we call the
study of viruses, which is a subspecialty of microbiology.

Let’s know proceed to our main topic, the Coronavirus disease 2019. Coronavirus disease 2019
is also known as COVID or coronavirus. Yes, this virus is a contagious disease which causes acute
respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2. The first known case of COVID-19 was identified in Wuhan, China,
in the month of December 2019. This virus has since spread worldwide, which leads to an ongoing
pandemic which where we are today. The symptoms of COVID-19 are variable and include cough,
headache, fever, fatigue, difficulties of breathing, and as well as loss of taste and smell. These symptoms
may manifest in one to fourteen days after being exposed to the said virus. We also should keep that in
our mind that some of the people who are infected do not manifest or develop noticeable symptoms
because we have different composition of DNA and how the immune system works in every individual.
On the other hand, with those people who manifest or develop noticeable symptoms are enough to be
called or classified as patients, and they are classified as mild to moderate symptoms wherein others
develop severe cases or symptoms and others also suffer from critical symptoms. Our elders are at a
higher risk of developing these sever symptoms and some of these elders continue to experience a
range of effects for months including the damage to organs after recovery according to WHO(World
Health Organization). So it quickly followed with studies and our scientists are on their way to further
investigation of the long-term effects of this disease. This virus is very dangerous and contagious
because just of a small droplet of saliva containing the virus can spread to other person’s mouth and
nose as they breathe or eat. Other people are also infected if the virus gets into their mouth, nose or
eyes. Airborne transmission is also possible, as smaller droplets of saliva and particles can linger in the
air for up to a second to minute within enclosed room and do not have adequate ventilation.

So I believe to prevent this kind of virus, we should have physical or social distancing, wear your
mask, covering when coughing or sneezing, quarantining, ventilation of indoors spaces, hand washing,
and keep touching one’s face with unwashed hands. The use of face masks has been recommended in
public settings to minimize the risk of transmissions. Though several vaccines have been developed in
many countries and have their mass vaccination we should not that very confident to go wherever we
want.
