continent that they were a separate nation on the basis of Islamic Ideology . No doubt that
Islamic Ideology is the basis of the ideology of Pakistan.

Ideology of Pakistan and ideology of Islam have the same meaning. No doubt that
ideology of Pakistan is the practical shape of the teaching of Islam.
Dr. Aslam Syed:
Ideology of Pakistan is the name of molding of individual and collective lives according
to Islam and also of avoiding conflicting ideologies.
Basic Principles of Ideology of Pakistan:

The Muslims of the Subcontinent demanded for a separate homeland to establish a system
where Quran and Sunnah be the supreme laws.

Following are the Principes of its ideology.

 Belief:

Oneness of Allah, Rasalat (SAAW), Day of Judgment Angels and Books revealed the five Islamic
beliefs. These beliefs are the basis of the ideology of Pakistan.

 Prayers:

Prayers include Namaz , fasting , Zakat and Hajj. Great importance is also given to Jihad in Islam.
Allah is the only one to be prayed and to be worshipped to. This complete submission to Allah is the
basis of the ideology of Pakistan.

 Democratic values:

Islam is a Democratic religion in its true sense. The state ensures the equality of mankind
irrespective of caste., color, creed , religion and language. The Government also performs the duties for
the welfare of all the people. The issues oof the state are solved by consultation .

Quaid e Adam described the objective of establishment of Pakistan as follows:

Let us promote the democracy of a country according to Islamic principles. Allah Almighty has
taught us to solve the issues of the state according to mutual consultation.

 Equality:

Islam has laid a lot of stress on equality. Equality is the basic demand of justice in society.Every citizen
enjoys equal status. All are equal in the eyes of law. The Holy Prophet (SAAW) himself set an example
by saying that the criminal would be punished. May she be his own daughter Fatima.

 Social Justice:
Islamic state and society is held responsible for the betterment of the poor and the
needy people. Widows and Orphans get state protection. The wealth’s equitably distributed
among the people. Accumulation of wealth in a few hands is not allowed. The Islamic system
gives equal rights to women and protects her special status. It safeguards her social, political ,
cultural and domestic rights.
 Basic Human Rights:
To provide basic human rights was another reason for the establishment of a separate
homeland. Rights and duties are interlinked. The right of one person becomes the duty of
another. The balance between rights and duties is very important. It makes an Islamic State
successful.
The Holy Prophet(SAAW) described the charter of human rights and told the Muslims that an
Arab has no superiority over a non Arab. White is not superior over black. Superiority depends
upon the piety
 Brotherhood:
Islam is a deli of peace and security and promotes equality and fraternity among the
Muslims. All the Muslims are brothers. The grief of onebecones the grief of another and the joy
of one becomes the joy of another Muslim. Brothethood ensures sacrifice , peace , sincerity and
affection.
 Supremacy of law:
It is the distinguished feature of the Islamic system. In Islam Allah is the basic source of law.
Other sources of law include Quran and Sunnah. All the decisions should be made in the light of
Quran and Sun nah.
 Conclusion:
These were the basic reasons for the establishment of a separate homeland. They proved
that the demand was totally logical. The problems that the Muslims faced after the creation of
Pakistan proved that the demand was correct. The creation of Pakistan ensured peace in Asia
and the rest of the world.
