Description

The module is parcel of the university-wide


extension program: Continuing Professional
Development through Extension Services
(CPDES). In it, the Bachelor of Physical
Education programs anchored its CPDES. It is
intended to capacitate the DepEd Teacher's
Knowledge and skills in Sports. This CPDES is
composed of 5 sets of training workshops.

Trainer (s):

The trainers of this project are the BPE-SPE


Instructors of the Physical Education
Department of the College of Education who
are teaching basic and major subjects in the
BPE SPE and BPED programs and Masters
Programs in the College.

Main/General

The project is designed to Capacitate ALS &


SPED Teachers on knowledge and skills in
sports through a series of training workshops. It
aims to equip the participants in different
sporting events through officiating and
coaching.

Specific
To achieve the general objective, the project aims to
1. assess the training needs of DepEd teachers every beginning of the
cycle using a survey questionnaire;
2. design sports activities to capacitate ALS & SPED Teachers on the
knowledge and skills in sports through a series of seminar-workshop;
3. prepare the proposed budget to be used in the project;
4. develop the modules of the different sports events to be used in the
training workshops;
5. conduct training workshops per sports event;
6. i.assist and follow up with the participants from the conceptualization
stage of their skills and knowledge in sports until the completion of
the course.
7. give awards and recognize the best referees, Line judges, and best
scorer during the culminating activity.
8. establish a partnership with prospect linkages and partners;
9. evaluate and monitor the training workshop at the end of the cycle,
and conduct a terminal evaluation of the project after its full
implementation.
Expected Outputs

At the end of this project, the following would


be the outputs:

4. conducted scheduled seminar-workshop series for beneficiary-teachers

of their skills and knowledge in sports ‘til completion of the course.
6. distributed awards and recognized the best referee, and best scorer.
7. at least three partners have committed and supported the project
8. summarized training evaluation results, feedback, and suggestions for
improvement of the next project.
9. monitored results of the terminal evaluation of the project after three
years.
