“EOSY Break Badminton Training”


- ACTIVITY DESIGN -

I. RATIONALE

Section 19, Article XIV of the 1987 Constitution of the Republic of


the Philippines provides that “(1) The State shall promote physical
education and encourage sports programs... to foster self-discipline,
teamwork, and excellence for the development of a healthy and alert
citizenry”, and that ”(2) All educational institutions shall undertake
regular sports activities throughout the country...”
Unequivocally, playing sports teaches lessons of life, such as
teamwork, accountability, responsibility, self-confidence, and self-
discipline, among others. Sports in school enhances physical and mental
abilities of students, prepares them to face life’s challenges, and helps
them achieve their goals in life.
Thus, it is hereby proposed that, while it is still EOSY Break, the
sports training to our selected badminton athletes should get back on
track in preparation for the next school year’s sports competitions.

II. OBJECTIVES

 To continue honing the skills in Badminton;


 To reignite the athlete’s passion for Badminton;
 To inculcate good moral values and life lessons thru sports; and
 To provide an opportunity for all trainees to play Badminton competitively.

III. TARGET PARTICIPANTS

The participants are: only a few selected / identified new


badminton players, former CCO-CVIRAA players as facilitators, and the
Teacher-Coaches as trainers.

IV. DATE, VENUE & ACTIVITIES

The badminton training shall be held at Tejero Elementary


School grounds at 2:00-5:00PM daily, commencing on the 7th of
August 2023 and culminating on the 25th of August 2023. The
suggested activities are stipulated below:
Mondays Warm-up & Conditioning Activities
Acquisition of New Skills/Techniques
Cool-Down Activities

Tuesdays Tune-up Games

Wednesdays Warm-up & Conditioning Activities


Review of the Newly-acquired
Skills/Techniques
Drills and Repetition
Cool-Down Activities

Thursdays Tune-up Games

Fridays Warm-up & Conditioning Activities


Application of Acquired Skills/Techniques
Cool-Down Activities
Feedbacking and Evaluation

V. IMPLEMENTATION STRATEGIES/METHODOLOGIES

The teacher-coaches shall be the Trainers in the implementation of


the structured activities, while the Facilitators shall be the ones to aid in
the learning of necessary skills & techniques that the selected Trainees
should acquire within the duration of this training program.

VI. BUDGETARY REQUIREMENTS

This training is FREE OF CHARGE. All the participating Trainees,


including the Facilitators and the Teacher-Coaches shall provide their own
training materials and snacks during the whole duration of the training
program.
