The table above shows that (10 out of 10) participants from San Vicente National High
School students that how does sleep deprivation affect the academic performance of
students,Lack of sleep can lead to more procedural mistakes, which puts students at risk.poor
brain function is caused by a nervous system that has not received enough sleep.Academic
performance is frequently affected by the cognitive impairment that sleep loss causes.
According to the author Spiegel K.et al.(2002), popular wisdom holds that not getting
enough sleep increases the propensity of catching a cold or other ailments.experts said that if you
feel drowsy during the day,no matter what activity you are engageding, you have not have
enough sleep.

The table above shows that Sleep deprivation partakes a huge role affecting the academic
performance.all ten(10) participants agreed that sleep deprivation has an influence in their
academic performance.Parents and guardians have their responsibility to educate and teach their
childrens.

According to Cirelli C. (2006) Several recent studies have used transcriptomics

approaches to characterize the molecular correlates of sleep, walking and sleep deprivation.

According to Jalali R, Khazaei H, Paveh BK, Hayrani Z & Menati L,(2020) studies have
suggested that insufficient sleep, increased frequency of short-term sleep, and going to sleep and
getting up early affect the learning capacity, academic performance, and neurobehavioral
functions.
