CORPORATE SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY

In the Philippines, Accenture drives its corporate citizenship programs through

Accenture Caring for Tomorrow (ACT), which focuses on four main areas:

1. Education

Accenture Education Program (AEP) gives our employees opportunities to

share their knowledge and expertise, especially on technology. We partner with
colleges, universities and public schools to increase computer literacy and provide
learning opportunities in programming technologies like COBOL, JAVA & .NET. We
have an ongoing program to improve the elementary and high school facilities of
Barobaybay in Leyte, a fishing community. Accenture also supports initiatives to
improve the literacy of Filipino children. For example, we partner with Hands on
Manila, a nonprofit organization, in providing arts and crafts classes to children.

Philippine Business for Education (PBEd) partners with Accenture Philippines to

help 1,000 kids catch up in reading and math. To help bridge the learning gaps
brought about by the pandemic, PBEd is driving the launch of the Kiddie Learning
Train, a volunteer-based community program that aims to teach 1,000 Kinder to
Grade 3 public school students and bring them up to speed with reading and math.
The program includes distributing a total of 1,000 tablets to students and engaging
volunteers with Education backgrounds to ensure continued learning even
remotely.
2. Environment

Accenture believes that the health of its business is inextricably linked to the
health of the environment in which it operates. Thus, we make an effort to preserve
our environment and support environmental initiatives such as tree planting, waste
segregation, habitat conservation and coastal clean-up.

Thus, the company makes an effort to preserve the environment and support
various environmental initiatives:

• Sponsored the participation of 3,000 Accenture employees in the ABS-CBN

fielded by a single company/ organization, in support of continuing efforts to
rehabilitate the Pasig River.

help fund efforts for the Marikina Watershed Rehabilitation project and Accenture
employee volunteers also helped in the on-site tree planting activities.

equip people with the skills to get a job or launch a business. We deliver livelihood
enhancement solutions with a focus on skilling towards employability,
entrepreneurship and direct livelihood opportunities.
