Essay Writing:

• Write a response to Jose Rizal, situating yourself a century after Rizal’s time. (minimum of 3
paragraphs)

The Philippines was a fighting arena, mixing races and carnage with pitfalls. Rizal gave a clear
picture of our history with his own words; the extent of his writings showed a lot of anguish and struggle.
His stories may have exaggerated, but the following generation's Filipinos know the struggles of their
ancestors. It may be considered that individuals had enough conflict to seek peace and never give up hope
of pleasure and freedom to live their lives as they liked. The main purpose of Rizal was to save his
country from the cruelty and tyranny of the Spain, driven by the devotion of his heart towards his
motherland.

Jose Rizal, in my own view, tells me of the worth of many things that are crucial to the achievement
of his life. The four elements are God, Family, Country, and Self. He could not have gotten thus far
without God. The Lord is your most important factor in our achievement, as Rizal feared God and was
richly rewarded not only for material but spiritual things. All this is shown by intellect, ability, charity
and compassion. Rizal had the fortune to have a family that could lead him in his real ambitions and his
role as the family is dominant also. Family remains one of the pillars in the character of a person today.
Then the country is here! Rizal describes the country's love as a means to love his Filipino fellow men
and women, helping them to attain their liberation from bad, corrupt priests and Spaniards who
misrepresent them in their own nation for God, has created us to aid our fellow men and women as an
example of glorification. There's Self at last. From the life of Rizal’s, I learned that you had to construct
your own good life. He trains himself to gather knowledge and information, so that he can use it for the
purposes of God. He didn't say he weren't precious enough and did not deny what was going on around
him. He recognizes, therefore, that he is a child of God.

I would like to thank our heroes for laying down their lives to ensure our freedom. We, as a student,
ought to continue the work of Dr. Jose Rizal for all of his hard work. We might not be so smart as our
national hero, but we can do our best. A student who is worthy and who spreads the principles of Dr Jose
Rizal to young people. A student who recognizes his rights and struggles for his or her rightness. Be the
voice of people who fear to speak up but brave enough to provide their opinions and advice on improving
our society. Wisely choose and cleverly, you won't be deceived. Be a responsible student who recognizes
and uses his or her faults as a learning opportunity.
